Jeremiah Francis is in no way a lost cause.Any chance with Ohio State's momentum on the hardwood that we see a recruit committed to someone else, say Jeremiah Francis, rethink his commitment and take a campus visit in Columbus? Or has that ship sailed for good?
Jeremiah Francis is in no way a lost cause.
I'll actually be a bit surprised if he doesn't end up in scarlet and gray.
@MaxBuck I also would be very interested in knowing why you think Francis is going to say no to UNC and say yes to Ohio State. Asking for friendsWhat makes you say this, just curious?

Besides the fact that his father played for Ohio State and he is from central Ohio.
That was also the case before he made his verbal to UNC. I mean he was even quoted as stating how much he wanted to turn the Ohio State program around and go to the same school that his father attended and then he made his verbal to UNC. This is just pure speculation on your part. I guess that could be said about any recruit. Maybe hearing something from him would be a little bit more interesting than the fact that he still attends Ohio State games.Jeremiah continues to be a big Buckeye fan and attends Buckeye hoop. This isn't classified information.
We've seen what Holtmann can do with Butler level recruits and this Ohio State team. Imagine what he could do if he got Francis and Gaffney in one class
To be clear, he's not doing it with "Butler level recruits". KBD was a top 30 national recruit, Tate was top 50ish, Kam around 70 and Wesson 75. These were all MAtta recruits and guys that never would have considered Butler. Young was going to be Holtmanns first top 100 recruit at Butler (and their first since 2012) and he's 10th man this year. Jallow, CJ and Andre are probably "Butler level recruits", so if if we are winning next year, then I think that would be a fair statement to make.
Make no mistake about it, Holtmann has done a fabulous job with this team and he's found ways to get much more out of players than Matta was, but its Mattas recruits that are leading the way this year.
I have no inside information with regard to this but I do not think that Holtmann is done with recruiting/transfers for the 2018 season. So hopefully, the roster with regards to new faces will look a little bit better than it does currently. We'll see if Holtmann can work even more magic than he worked this season just to get that team on the bubble, because on paper they will be the least talented roster OSU has had in a long time, and with very minimal experience to help mitigate that.
