One thing that time has proven over and over again, is that there will always be players and recruiting classes that exceed expectations. This week, we are looking for potential sleeper recruiting classes.
Which classes that rank outside of the top 15 for 2018 could end up surpassing expectations? As usual, Rivals.com National Basketball Analysts Eric Bossi and Corey Evans have Rival Views.

EVANS' VIEW: OHIO STATE
The Chris Holtmann era in Columbus is off to a good start, already surpassing a number of preseason expectations. Ohio State has started to get great mileage out of Keita Bates-Diop, and using Jae’Sean Tate as a point-wing in certain lineups now looks genius. What should add even more excitement for Ohio State fans is the 2018 recruiting class that the staff signed this fall.
Despite not sitting within the top 15 of our 2018 class’ rankings, the four-man group checks a lot of the boxes that should enable for the program to get back among the Big Ten elite. The top-ranked prospect, Luther Muhammad, brings an alpha-dog demeanor to the floor each time out as the top-75 guard poses as a lockdown defender, even as a college freshman.
Muhammad will be joined by Justin Ahrens, a highly lauded jump shooter and one of the top in-state prospects from the 2018 class. Jaedon LeDee, a 6-foot-8 forward, boasts a variety of dimensions and further upside, and with how Holtmann used players of LeDee’s ilk during his time at Butler, the Texas native could thrive.
The wildcard of the bunch is DJ Washington, the nephew of Derek Fisher. Washington should be regarded as one of the top shooters in his class and also a guard that can run some of the point. Washington’s commitment could be the most vital as the Buckeyes are struggling in the turnover department this season.

Valued for his versatility in the backcourt but gifted with quality length, ball skills and two-way abilities, Moore updated where things stand within his recruitment. “It is going well. As of now, I am narrowing down my final visits to Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas Tech, and Ohio State. I think I want to commit on my senior night which is September 26,” he said. “Each school, I have really good relationship with the coaches and I like the way that they play.”
Moore has taken one official visit to date, a trip that took place to Florida the first weekend of September. The Gators are no longer in contention as he has begun to focus on Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas Tech and Ohio State.

Yeah, I read that article when he scored 57 points last week. At that time, in the article, it mentioned some schools that he had offers from but none of them were really Big time offers. I do not know how good he really is and perhaps he is getting overshadowed by the two guys from Garfield Heights.Keep an eye on Christian Guess of Shaker Heights. Video indicates he was sabotaging his recruitment early in HS with poor grades, but the interview shows a mature mindset. 6-6 wing, almost led an upset of Garfield Heights, but was unable to finish the fourth quarter with cramps. Scored 25 in the effort. Apparently put up 57 earlier against Mentor in a 108-95 win.
Video also mentions Huggins in to recruit. He looks fairly bigtime.
The recruitment of three-star forward Greg Ganttis beginning to pick up. The 6-foot-8 standout, who can play multiple positions and is a tremendous frontcourt passer, has begun to hear from several new suitors.
“Newer ones are Ohio State, Xavier more often, and I have been talking to Oklahoma a little bit,” he said. “Providence has been on me for a minute and they have stayed on me. I have heard from UConn a lot since they offered me at the beginning of the season and I have been talking to Virginia Tech and Florida a little bit, too, along with Cincinnati.”

RIVALS' REACTION
Gantt is an effortless traffic rebounder that can pass, defend and finish with athleticism. His basketball ceiling remains untapped and his production has steadily improved.
UConn’s offer to Gantt has opened his eyes some to the AAC program. It looks as if Oklahoma, Florida, Xavier, Ohio State and a slew of others could also make a push in the coming months with the Rivals150 prospect. However, Providence, which has invested the most time and attention with the budding forward, appears to be the team to beat at this moment.
