If we can continue to split series on the road, we should be in good shape for the playoffs at the end of the season.

If they would just starting playing consistently they would win more. they're young and lose their heads way to quickly. Friday night is a good example where northern was on a power play and one of the buckeyes decided to lose his head and give them a 5 on 3. Then they got down 0-2 and had to play uphill the rest of the game.

Other than that this very young team is going to be good. Zac Dalpe is something special and worth checking out.

FRED SQUILLANTE Dispatch
Zac Dalpe, who was selected by Carolina in the June NHL draft, leads the Buckeyes with seven goals.

Zac Dalpe needed only a few days to learn the subtle differences between Columbus and his tiny hometown of Paris, Ontario.
The first is that Ohio State's student body is nearly five times the size of Paris' population. The second is that football, not hockey, dominates the airwaves here.
"In Canada, all the games are on TV," said Dalpe, an OSU freshman hockey player. "Here it's just a select few."
Dalpe watches some professional games on NHL.com, but he could see many more of them in person soon.
Dalpe was a second-round pick of the Carolina Hurricanes in June's NHL draft. He could have signed and gone into the developmental leagues to expedite his pro career, but instead kept his commitment to play at Ohio State.

Great game tonight with a win 4-3 by the buckeyes. They went up 2-0 in the first then came out playing soft in the 2nd and NO tied it up 2-2. In the 3rd NO went up 2-3 and the bucks fought back to tie it up 3-3. Looked like the game was going to go into OT until C.J. Severyn made the winning shot with 1.1 left on the clock.

Big win for the bucks against the now 9-3 Mavericks. They are also ranked #14, and #16 in both national polls. It would be huge if they can take another one from them Saturday.

Severyn?s Goal with 1.1 Remaining Lifts Buckeyes to 4-3 Comeback Win over No. 14/16 Nebraska-Omaha
