I was fucking pissed during the Iowa debacle last year. This is one is just annoying me, given we're up by 30 and it's the opening game.

Obviously, improvement is in order.

A lot of them look like 2nd string too... which is worrying in its own way, but it's not game over.
Sheffield and Arnette have looked alright -- minus that punt return thing. Fuller will improve Safeties. Werner looked unstoppable in the first half and then there's Borland.

It's been a bad day for Okudah, but we've seen that more than a few times for CBs in their first game that later go on to be 1st round picks.

Obviously the number of points is bad and it's probably a fool's errand to parse out how it happened, but 55% of OrSt's yards have come on three plays. Clean up a few things here and there and find the right mix of personnel in the back 7 and I think they'll be okay. Big plays are bad, but I'm more okay with those than with long sustained drives.

At least that's what I'm telling myself.

No, I think that's a good point. Big plays are bad, but OrSt isn't driving down the field on 7 play drives and scoring.

Maybe not a big difference, but it's a difference and probably less to clean up.

We have had a high SPARQ low football IQ LB room for far too long.

It's the reason why you end up switching Boreland from FB to LB in the middle of his SR season and why Borland and Werner look so much better than the rest
