So Oregon paid 25K for the video's that were shipped 3 weeks after the kid signed?

It didn't matter - the recruiting into they received form him after NLOID 2010 contained information that was almost entirely about 2009 recruits.

So it was really 2 years out of date. But I'm sure it was worth $25,000.

For those who haven't done so, it's worth reading this summary of what has occurred. SI.com

Does this sound like a cover-up?

Yahoo

In a wide-ranging, multi-day interview, Lyles said Kelly "scrambled" in late February and asked Lyles to submit retroactive player profiles to justify the $25,000 payment to his company, just days before the transaction was revealed in a March 3 Yahoo! Sports report. Lyles also provided details of his fledgling company - Complete Scouting Services (CSS) - as well as the extent of his relationship with numerous Texas high school stars and his role in Ducks' recruitment of certain prospects.

I'm going to mail them a video of my 6 year old throwing the football around in the back yard and see what I can get.

So Harris had been smoking marijuana, was driving 118 mph, and his license had been suspended in both Oregon and California.

Harris told the officer that he got the car from "his girlfriend". The car was a rental paid for by a female employee of the U of Oregon.

And starting QB Darron Thomas was in the car, and his name doesn't come out for 2 months.

Does that fact that they play LSU in the opener affect the discipline being handed out?

In Kelly's defense, he probably assumed it star futbol player Darryl Thomas riding in the car.

Link updated to include:
UPDATED 7:34 p.m. ET: Head coach Chip Kelly had this to say about Thomas?, er, ?involvement? with the incident:
?I?m not gonna punish someone for being a passenger?I know exactly what the situation was and I?m not concerned with Darron Thomas whatsoever.?

The whole Lyles situtation and now this episode with the car and the weed and the QB apparently not being suspended at all makes Oregon and Kelly come off as a joke. Too bad ESPN is to busy filing another FOIA request with OSU that they can't report on these happenings at Oregon. By the way--what has Kelly ever won at Oregon, besides a bunch of games against a watered-down Pac-10?
