What on God’s green earth makes you think Al Washington shouldn’t be fired along with Coombs? At least Coombs can recruit DB’s. His scheme may suck but he’s at least contributed something to the program in the past. Wtf has Washington done? Coach up Tuf Borland? Made Baron Browning a star?

Football is a collaborative endeavor with lots of coaches and players and fans have a tendency to pick just one scapegoat on whom to blame all their problems. Like Buckeye Nation once did to Luke Fickell while ignoring the soft zone defense of Everett Withers. As if they just replace that one guy then it would solve all their problems. But it’s not that simple.
