Agreed, they certainly take care of business. Arethey a bit of an oregon jr, in terms of marketability? I remember hearing something along those lines a few years back, but that may have been more of a Fiesta Bowl bonus.

p.s. Maybe not in football (though I've wanted to see how it woudl look for awhile), but seeing another team with silver numbers, without gray/silver in their school colors, just gets me fired up with envy of Syracuse's silver numbers in bball.

He did really went after the fans and lashed out at a cop. He also fought with his own teammate.

Chip Kelly shouldn't tolerate that at all so he'll probably make an example out of Blount. He was out of his mind literally.

Jim Tressel would have suspended Boom Herron for rest of the season if he did something like that.

He was suspended during the offseason for misbehavior. Besides that, that wasn't a simple punch, it was a sucker punch after the whistle. Then he had to be restrained by uniformed police. Then he tried to go after fans while being dragged back into the locker room. His career should be over.

certainly not excusing the punch, but it wasn't a sucker punch.....dude clearly came over to talk [censored], hit Blount on the shoulder pad, mouthed off, Coach Peterson got in his own players face to tell him to knock it off, but Blount had already laid him out.

Again, doesn't make the situation any better, and Blount should be gone for the year, but the BSU player isn't some innocent bystander. He ran his mouth, made contact with him, and got laid out real quick....

*when I think sucker punch, I think of someone punching another person when they aren't looking. The BSU linebacker was running his mouth and looking directly at Blount as he got punched. Again, not trying to excuse the behavior.

Is there a chance this game hurt Boise's chances at the BCS? You can't make this many mistakes in your only challenge of the year (and not a very tough one at that) and expect people to respect you.

Definitely moreso than checking into a football discussion board when trying to avoid the results of a game.
