Pity Sherman bypassed Clemson.

Meh....ever been there? Except for the huge stadium, the place probably looks about the same today as it did when Sherman was in the neighborhood on his way to burning Columbia. In other words, really not worth the effort then or now.

I wouldn't be putting any money on the Buckeyes given the likely absence of both Roby and Spence. I'd like to think otherwise, but this one could get ugly.

Not sure about ugly, if you mean score-wise. Hyde and Miller keep the Buckeyes in ANY game.

But I expect many frustrating/ugly/ moments.

I personally was concerned about this matchup specifically with Roby and Spence known to be playing. With those two being unknowns now, I really hope this game doesn't turn into a nightmare. I hope the offense shows up, OSU is gonna need it in droves.

My biggest hope is that adversity will generate an especially angry team while four weeks preparation will generate an especially devious offensive game plan and a better than expected (that is to say, maybe a few stops) defensive one.

My confidence level is pretty low right now, but don't Meyer coached teams do some of their best work when no one is expecting much?

I'm hoping that the defense gets 2 stops this game. That's all I'm asking. If the offense shows up and scores on every possession then this game is winnable. If it comes down to the defense getting a stop then it's over. They have shown us that they just aren't capable of stopping teams when they need to.

I am afraid this is going to be a shootout. I am going into the stadium even keeled, since I see this as a toss-up game. I think this will be one of those games that comes down to whomever has the ball last will win.

Yeah, scary to think about our defense when two of our better players are missing. Hard to believe that an OSU defense could make one feel this way.

Yup. That was the problem with isolating people who had the flu--by the time you know they have it, they've already spread it to others.

Now if we could just figure out a way to get some of our contagious people to hang out with the Clemson team...
