Did you go ahead and pay for the next season? I see you're putting out press releases.

Yep, I just ponied up the $5.95....it's like one stop at burger king....even if it sucks, I basically threw a whopper combo meal in the garbage.

However, I really like the statistical analysis part so far...money well spent I think.

I'm still debating whether to play to win this year or play to build up this team.....

I did the same thing, but it still hasn't given me press release rights. :-(

You could email the commish Tom, he's a pretty helpful guy.

Glad you guys decided to play, let me know if you need any tips on coaching before the regular-season starts next week.

I've still got a lot to learn about how this game operates. I never altered any orders for the first week of recruiting and ended up landing only two F,F recruits. I have some much better talent targeted for the next round.

Better to let the computer's invites go and get your own guys in round 2 & 3 anyway. Most teams are out of points and scholarships now, so you should be able to fill some spots.

Dove into the CMEL baseball league yesterday too. Also as Bethune Cookman who were 1-13 last night.

Rearranged the batting order and pitching staff to pick up the second win of the season today. Team seriously lacks talent, but I can improve on that with a little luck.

Baseball is DEL's other really good sport sim, probably because it and football are so stat-heavy. Managing in baseball is considerably less complex than coaching football, but there's a lot more stats available to help make personnel decisions. Be warned, though: the postseason (conference tourneys, regionals, super-regionals, CWS) is loooong. It can be hard to maintain the interest level if you're not still in it, but recruiting does start back up eventually...

Nice second day, BSH.

I didn't realize how bad off I was this year. 27 schollies to fill and only 28 points to do it with. Ugh. Now out of points and only signed 6 scholarship athletes. Here's hoping for a few wins this year and getting my recruiting prestige up.

Thanks,

I actually gave out TOO many scholarships I think. Should have banked a few of them but wasn't really sure how all the signings would work out and didn't want to leave my self short.

50 schollies total and I just used 20 of them. That means some of my upcoming classes are going to be REAAAAAL light.

I didn't really know until way late that scholarships are for the FULL 4 years. Might not matter but if you get better quick, you might have some junk players on the roster and no scholarships to give.
