One Year Later, How does tOSU Stand?

Just sayin' there should be some middle ground in dissecting the rivalry moving forward. It doesn't have to be ORD's "momentum swinging UM's way" or Mili's "Meyer will dominate."

And yes, Tress owned LLLLLLoyd. Expecting 9-1 is outrageous to me. I'm on board, though. :)

First anyone in this rivalry with 1 game over .500 wins. That being said if UFM beats cHoke the first 3 years in a row..this discussion is over. Do I think it's possible? You bet I do. According to Shane Morris scUM will never lose to tOSU while he's there.....I doubt this with every fiber of my being. For the record..I don't expect UFM to go 9-1 against tsun..I do however expect him to go no less that 7-3 in "The Game" and something like 3-0 in any Big championship games tsun can manage to get to.

We'll see, but I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I see the game moving into an era of parity similar to 69 through 87. I don't see a run like Michigan had in the 90s or Ohio State had the last decade happening for either program. Talk to me in five or six years, and we'll see who has won a free internet.

No way Michigan will be our equal over a two-decade span. Not happening. It's mind-boggling how many Ohio State fans have bought the notion that fat fuck mumble mouth has somehow turned Michigan completely around. Last year Michigan was a flash in the pan...the stars aligned perfectly for them for one season.

People point to their defensive turnaround, and ignore the fact the our offense put up more points than anyone else did against them all year--and were two Miller overthrows from putting up 48 points--on them on their own field.

Oh sure...because loving 2 boobs and a vagina require a lot of thought.

Carr won a national title. He was 6-1 against tOSU. I love how when JT came in and ear-fucked him, it's now because Llllloyd was in decline. He sure as fuck wasn't in decline in 2000. Hell, 2003 he was a pretty good coach as well. The fact that JT so thouroughly dominated him is what led TSUN to panic and change up pretty much everything they had been doing for A HUNDRED FUCKING YEARS. Rich Rodriguez in all his magnificent clusterfuckiness is a direct response to Tress making TSUN his bitch.

Edit: Tress did not "Get lucky", and the next person that claims as much should be fucking banned. It's disgraceful.

Yes it is..expecting tOSU to ever lose to those f****** up north is outrageous. Sorry I'm at work so I have to sugar coat this..but F*** those bastards..May Urban go 10-0...and only 10-0 because they'll have given up football by the time. This is THE game and you're expected to win every season, no fking excuses. Throwing around "7-3" nonsense..wth is that. Urban's not coming on board with the message to "beat tsun..maybe" or "let's strive for a little bit above mediocrity". Beating Michigan is expected of this team, it isn't about being rational..being rational is making excuses. To lose this game=failure as a team, point blank period.

I want scUMmers to come back in 4 years asking all Buckeyes why we care about this game so much. You know, when they all were saying it isn't even a rivalry and that their true rivalries are with MSU and Domers.

Fuck them with all of their being. I am a Wal-Mart tOSU fan having gone to Wilmington College but by God this is my state and I will be damned if those mother fuckers win another game and the fucking traitors from Ohio come out of the woodwork again like in the 90's.

The thing is, I don't think JT was going to have the same record against the tsun moving forward. The rivalry always swings back and forth with periods some periods of parity such as 69-87. I think we're in for the latter regardless of who is coaching, which is not a bad thing. It's what makes it a great rivalry.

JT benefited from the decline of Lloyd and the absolute cluster[censored] that was Dick Rod. I don't think he was going to continue to run the table against Flintstone. Eventually, Michigan was going to right their ship and bring balance back to the rivalry.
JT didn't benefit from the decline of Lloyd, he caused it. Lloyd was considered a great coach, and did well in the rivalry, until JT came along. TSUN declined while JT was coach all right, but JT brought about almost that entire decline. He beat the crap out of Lloyd, TSUN panicked and got Dickrod, he beat the crap out of Dickrod and then TSUN panicked and got Hoke. If Tressel had been coach last year, he would have beat the crap out of Hoke, too, and scummers probably would have started panicking again. It's not good for the stability of your program -- and therefore the success of your program -- when your archrival beats you no matter what you do.

Here is an outsiders view

They went from a coach with one NC to a coach with two.

They went from a great in-state recruiter to a great in-state and national recruiter.

About the only negative is how long will Meyer last, but OSU football wise is in better shape.
