Olympic Hockey Gold Medal

Canada vs. Slovakia
USA vs. Finland

Definitely looks favorable for a USA vs. Canada rematch. Finland is no easy opponent, but I like the USA's chances. Canada should be able to beat Slovakia easily if they play like they did against Russia. The US will play for a medal even if they lose their next game.

Let's hope the Slovaks come with some defense. Russia just played like chicken shit.

That's "Eurotrash" according to Milbury :slappy: I think he and Roenick are going to fight on set before this is over.

What's up with the play-by-play guy? He's been all over Canada's sack since the tournament began. Got excited when it looked like Canada would get back in the game with the U.S. and was subdued when Kesler hit the empty netter.

Last night, he was excited for Canada as well. I'm guessing he's a Canadian.

I'm not sure, it's been a weird-assed composition of personalities though, that's for sure. They need Don Cherry to come in and whup on Milbury's ass for gimmick infringement though.

Looking very good for the US and Canada to get to the Gold Medal game.

Hate to say it, but I think the US gets their heads handed to them in the remach with the Canadians.

IMO the best thing that could have happened to the Canadians is loosing the the US in the earlier rounds. It gave them an extra game to get their shit together and gather some mojo. That display they put on last night was awesome.

Yea you never want to play the same team twice and Canada seems to be peaking perfectly in this tournament. Miller better get ready for about 70 shots LOL

Just checked: Mike Emrick. He's apparently from Indiana, but you would hardly guess it from his announcing.

He sucks. So does Olczyk. And Milbury. And Pierre McGuire. Roenick even kind of sucks, but he's a dick to Milbury so I like him.

Basically, they couldn't have picked a worse crew. I like the second option who covers games. One of them does football for CBS I think.. the other, no idea. They stick to play-by-play and don't get sidetracked. I've become pretty good at tuning announcers out because of the Versus crew (Emrick and co.)

I miss Gary Thorne and Bill Clement. :(

WHAT THE HELL WAS KIPRUSOFF DOING?!?!

1-0 USA on a ridiculously stupid move by Kipper. What a terrible pass. The d-man could've poked that puck away when the d-man and Kessel were racing into the zone.

Actually, looking at it a second time it wasn't a horrible decision so much as it was an execution error. He missed his teammate with the pass and didn't clear the zone.

Yeah, getting the puck wasn't that bad of a decision, but the pass... was just awful. I still think the d-man should've just kept skating and poked it away from Kessel, looked like if he hadn't given up on the play he would've beaten Kessel or at least made it difficult.

What happened was just a disaster in a good way.

Power play.
