Vandalia offensive tackle verbally commits to Ohio State
Taylor Decker changes mind after considering Notre Dame.

Those Irish eyes aren?t smiling at Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer today.
After adding a pair of Notre Dame coaches to his staff last week, Meyer received a verbal commitment from Vandalia?s Taylor Decker after a weekend visit to Columbus.
Decker, a 6-foot-8, 300-pound offensive tackle, gave Notre Dame a verbal commitment in March 2011.
The first day of the signing period is Feb. 1 and lasts until April 1.
Taylor could not be reached for comment. Butler Aviators coach Greg Bush said he did not want to speak for Decker and confirm the decision, which was reported by numerous online sites.
?As long as he chose the university he wants to get a degree from, I?m happy,? Bush said. ?I?m happy for a kid that goes to college and doesn?t play football. It?s all about getting that degree.?
BlueandGold.com, which follows Notre Dame recruiting, reported Decker replied with a text message when asked if Notre Dame was still in play, saying, ?Probably not, which is not to be rude at all. I just have figured everything out.?
Last week, Ohio State officially added Notre Dame offensive line coach Ed Warinner and running backs coach Tim Hinton, who also recruited Decker to Notre Dame.
?I can tell you once Tim Hinton came to Ohio State, he did not actively recruit him,? Bush said. ?That did not happen.?
