OL Taylor Decker (Detroit Lions)

I can't link bc I'm on my phone but according to Brandon Castel's Twitter, Taylor may be trying to graduate early and enroll in march to be here for spring practice. If true, that could be great for Taylor to help him pick up the scheme seeing as right tackle is wide open to begin spring camp.

If Norwell stays at guard, which I don't see happening. We have Linsley, Mewhort, Brown, Carter, Underwood, etc. to play inside and Norwell is one of the few tackle prospects on the team. I personally think Taylor has a better chance at challenging Fragel at LT, as he is just learning the position and putting mass on now. May be immaterial either way though, Taylor will find his way on the field immediately, even if it is in a backup role intially.

I guess I'm operating under the assumption norwell will be the left tackle since he's the only one on the team with experience there. I agree that he's a natural right tackle but I don't know if you're gonna see a first year tackle/former tight end at left tackle

Gotcha. Regardless, I think we agree Taylor's best shot to land a starting spot is against the tackle spot Fragel will be at. However, I wouldn't bet against a first year LT yet...I'm not entirely sure fitting a square peg into a round hole is a preferable option to inexperience with the right skill set, but that is for another thread.
