COLUMBUS — Lancaster offensive lineman Kyle Trout added yet another honor to his trophy case Monday when he was named first-team All-Ohio in Division I by the Associated Press.
Trout started all 10
games for the Gales (5-5) this past season and was one of the team’s captains.
The senior is committed to play
college football for Ohio State and will graduate from Lancaster early to be able to practice with the Buckeyes this spring.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound lineman helped lead the way for the Gales’ wing-T attack, which averaged a little more than 240 yards rushing per
game in the difficult Ohio Capital Conference-Ohio Division this past season. Trout also earned first-team honors in the OCC and in the Central District.
This is Trout’s second consecutive year being honored by the AP. He was an All-Ohio special mention after the 2012 season.
