Justin Boren

Offensive lineman Boren should be in the flurry of Buckeyes selected on the final day of the draft. NFLDraftScout.com commended Boren's strength and competitive attitude, and tagged him as a "likely late-round pick."

Some scouts are concerned with Boren's decision to transfer from Michigan to OSU.

"I don't know how they can question anything where I walked on here," he said following the Pro Day on March 11. "I had to pay my own way for three years."

They should be more concerned with him deciding to go to m*ch*g*n in the first place.

Feel bad for Boren. No reason he should have been left out to dry tonight. Hell of a player and one I'm glad was on OUR side for three years.

I think overall the NFL said that they think the Big Ten sucks. With players like John Clay going undrafted, Greg Jones and Ross Homan going extremely late. Very surprising to see, thats for sure.

The only bad thing for these guys is that they can't do anything until the new CBA. Last year they would already have offers. I hope the Browns give him a call.

I agree for the most part. Clay probably doesn't project well to the NFL, though. He's way overweight and doesn't have nearly enough speed to be a feature back in the NFL. See: P.J. Hill.

14. Justin Boren, G, Ohio State

Decent size (6-2, 309 pounds) with strength and toughness. He is not really flexible and struggles with his balance. Should be a backup at all three interior offensive line positions.

The nfl drafts on potential more so then production. That is why they dont mind if they miss, they are always looking for a guy with tons of upside that may just be their next superstar. All teams tend to draft this way. Go Bucks

sometimes guys don't get drafted and end up having 15 year careers. Let's hope Boren keeps working and catches on somewhere.

I made up a team of players who didn?t get the call on draft day. Here are my best undrafteds, based on my pre-draft rankings.

G?Justin Boren, Ohio State. He wasn?t on a many preseason watch lists, but Boren played as well as many of the guards who were drafted.

When the lockout is finally over, the first order of business for Jeff Ireland and the Miami Dolphins will be fill out their roster with Undrafted Free Agents (UFAs). These are players who did not get drafted in the 2011 NFL Draft and, in a normal year, some would have been picked up by NFL teams in the hours following the draft. I suggest that you should not ignore the significance of these pick-ups ? please remember Dan Carpenter and Devone Bess were both UFAs.

In my previous articles about UFAs, I took a look at Pat Devlin, (QB out of Delaware) and Derrick Locke (RB out of Kentucky). So, who are some of the other UFAs the Dolphins should be looking at? What about Justin Boren? Boren is an offensive left guard (LG) out of the Ohio State University. He has average size of 6?3″ and 309 pounds with below average arm length of 32″ ? take note for comparison that Mike Pouncey is 6?5″ and 303 pounds with 32.25″ arm length. At the Combine, Boren showed above average upper body strength (28 reps in the bench press) and average lower body strength (96″ in the broad jump) along with good quickness (7.57 seconds in the three cone drill).
