Definitely see him at G at OSU at least to start out. Might not have the arm length for left tackle anyway. I talked to his coach at 'Burg and he said he'll need some work sitting backwards for passing since he is always in go forward mode. Those guys coming off the edge are super fast now and long armed. I have no worries about him he'll be great once he changes his mindsets a bit.

AGreed, he'll need a RS year to learn pass protection schemes. He'll get eaten alive in college against even decent pass rushers. He has the talent, but needs to work and reps to get to the level to see the field

The 11W Community Interview is truly of the people, by the people and for the people. You submit the questions and then we pass them on to the biggest names in the world of Ohio State athletics.

Miamisburg five-star offensive tackle Josh Myers is the second-longest tenured member of Ohio State's 2017 recruiting class, having committed to the Buckeyes in January 2015; only five-star cornerback Shaun Wade has been on board longer.

The 6-foot-6, 306-pound Myers led the Vikings to their first 10-win season as a senior and was named a USA TODAY and U.S. Army All-American as a result. He will enroll in classes at Ohio State on Monday and is expected to compete for the starting right guard position as a true freshman with Billy Price's move to center.

But first, he sits down and talks with our readers about the recruiting process, breakfast toppings and more in the 11W Community Interview.

Who has been the most instrumental person in your life helping push you to reach your goals?

JM: "My immediate family has always helped me the most with reaching my goals. My mom was an All-American basketball player and has helped me with footwork as much as anyone. My two brother and my dad really helped with the technical points of football and being an offensive lineman. They have always encouraged me to be the best that I can be."

After being trained by strength coach Mickey Marotti, how many tires do you hope to be able to flip simultaneously?

JM: "I'm not sure! Coach Mick is amazing though."

Myers was a five-star prospect from the very first Rivals100 for the class of 2017, but it is looking like he will not end that way. He came out as a sophomore and performed exceptionally well against players a year older at the Future 50 event associated with the Under Armour Game and solidified his status as an early five-star. In the following two years, though, we saw very little of Myers outside of the season, and when he arrived in San Antonio for this year's Army Bowl, he struggled against top-level competition. Physically Myers still looks the part, but fundamentally and athletically he has fallen behind the curve.

I'd be surprised if he ever plays OT. He's an interior lineman. Not sure he has the lateral quickness to contain pass-rushing DEs but he certainly has the strength and technique to maul DTs.

That too.
But I thought I read during the Army AA practices that he was having problems at OT with athletic DEs. When he was moved inside to play C/G he excelled. Most likely due to him primarily run blocking in HS

He'll be fine. He needs more reps in pass blocking. His athleticism shouldn't be in question and everyone is going to be reassured shortly. He just doesnt have the time perfecting pass blocking technique yet. He can probably play all five positions on the O line during his Ohio State tenure but starting out those elite DE's that have been perfecting their pass rushing are going to give him fits because he doesnt have all of techniques to combat those moves yet. He will. He gets hands on, it's over.

Miamisburg threw the ball all of 5 times a season...I would have been shocked if Josh's pass blocking looked good at the AA game. He is plenty athletic, just needs to get comfortable in his pass pro. Coaching up an OL to pass block is much different than doing it and you have to get plenty of reps actually doing it. I think Josh can certainly play tackle, although he needs time to adapt. If he plays right away, he probably would play on the interior...Jordan did that this year and imo, he is a future tackle.
