Hot dang!! I really wanted this kid and all signs point to him coming on board once he was offered. Decker comes on and now probably O'Connor. I am giddy about the direction of this football team!! :tongue2:

Interesting...I haven't seen Boren on defense, but I though Elflein looked much better at DT than guard. Good point either way, one of those two will likely start on defense.

I don't watch film so I am not a big talent evaluator:lol: but that is what I have always read about Elflein. That he might be better on defense. Sorry back to O'Connor.

Since we broached the topic (nice to see you leave the bball forums Litl :biggrin:), my guess is we see Elflein move over to DT. I tend to think that is the only position where he can contribute at OSU, really excellent leverage and strong as a bull. Then I see Boren backing up Bobek at center and O'Connor at RG and RT if need be, but I think UFM is going to make sure there is no shortage of tackles in the future.

Regardless, I think Joey is a guy that could potentially contribute right away if we weren't so set inside (Hall, Mewhort, Linsley, Underwood, Brown). Either way, really excited to see this offer and I think this one is over sooner rather than later.

He plays in the triple-option offense in HS and is apparently super raw as a pass-blocker. Doubt he would contribute right away, but he has all the tools to be a great interior o-lineman and seems to have the attitude/intelligence to learn whatever he needs to learn.

He's certainly quick enough and agile enough. Watching the all star game he more than held his own against the best guys going to FSU and they had to pass almost exclusively in that game. A little technique and he could be superb. If a dog is gonna bite, he'll bite as a pup and Joey is not afraid to show his teeth!
