#OhioState coaches were away on a staff retreat, no cell service. Knox had to find a landline number to their location so he could commit.

Congratulations on this great decision. Looking forward to watching you plant some behinds in the grass, and also being a leader and representing our university with hard work, pride, and class. Made my day that's for sure!

I am so pumped for this commitment and for many reasons. First, I truly think Demetrius is the top interior OL in the country, so this commitment is huge in terms of talent. Second, great get out of Texas and think about this for a minute...J.T. Barrett, Mike Mitchell, Dontre Wilson, and now Knox...unbelievable high-level talent from a state we had no presence in the past. Third, Demetrius is a high character kid and he is coming back home to Ohio.

Last, this OL class is unreal and has a ton of balance. Knox and M. Jones are two of the best interior guys around. J. Jones could be a great RT or slide down. Trout is a pure tackle (likely a RT) and if we add 1-2 more true tackles, we've got an OL class unlike any I can remember since I've followed recruiting. With Gardner gone, this commit is even bigger. Welcome aboard Demetrius, so happy to see you join Buckeye Nation! :osu:
