This Saturday will be the coming out party for my boy Antonio Underwood. I've been impressed with him ever since he arrived on campus. Future 3-year starter. Will play Tackle and Gaurd and will dominate both. Hopefully no "false starts" this week since he's playing for Shugarts. He's A Strong Man! I really like him on the O-line and he can have a few false starts cause he won't break Shugarts record :biggrin:

Rough day for Antonio out there today. Hopefully he keeps his head up for the future and doesn't let this effect how he plays if called upon again!

Don't want to make a final judgement on this kid, but he looked out of place at the OT position. He's probably better suited to play on the interior but the failure in OT recruiting has led to certain guys playing out of position. Too bad he was forced into a bad spot today because it cost us big time in that first half, when Antonio really couldn't keep his man out of the backfield.

Rough indeed...really need to get him some PT this year to get him ready to compete for a starting interior OL position next year. Provides an opportunity for Munger and Gardner (maybe Lisle) to get some early PT but still a rough injury for Antonio.

I said the same in the Purdue game thread, but congrats to Antonio for making it back into pads and onto the 70-man travel squad in seven months. No reason he shouldn't redshirt, but at least he's getting practice reps again. The guard battles next year should be interesting, with Price, Elflein, Brown and Underwood doing battle.

You can probably throw Big Meech in the mix too. If he's ready, the coaches will get him reps

Underwood getting healthy is crucial for our interior. I think one spot will be occupied by Elflein and likely Boren at center, but then you likely have Lisle, Price, and Underwood all battling for a spot. However, Underwood has valuable experience and I think that might end up getting him the nod if the others don't blow the coaches away.

Man, it seems like forever ago that he was unceremoniously thrust into the starting lineup as a freshman. How far this football team has come in 3 years.
