Makes sense...injuries and Racer transferring in pretty much sealed his fate here.
But congrats to Logan and Kyle, unbelievable accomplishment at such an early age. Love seeing Kollin and Malik get titles too, the future is bright for OSU wrestling. Kollin absolutely killed it, teched everyone he wrestled, including the #1 195 lber in the country who is committed to Iowa...very, very impressive.

In the 1970-71 season, Kevin Dick of Montpelier set a national record of his own. He brought down his opponent in five seconds, the fastest in the 98 pound division.
Fastest Fall in 103 Pounds: :04
In 103 pounds, the record for fastest fall belongs to Mitch Aring of Eastwood (Pemberville). On February 5, 2000, Aring brought his opponent down in only four seconds.
Fastest Fall in 189 Pounds: :03
The Pomeroy Meigs wrestler Burt Kennedy once forced a fall in only :03. He did so on February 9, 1991, to set the national mark.

I've been watching some of Malik Heinselman's videos on YouTube. His technique from neutral reminds me a lot of Logan's. His stance and the way he sets up the low single is almost identical. I'd be interested to know if they've worked out before. He's gonna be very tough once he gets to OSU.

Kid has a wicked strong grip, love his ties and pressure. Very impressive and he definitely has the frame to adjust up to 125, that was my only concern with Malik.
And Kollin just amazes me...so many shots that are not technically sound but his constant attacks and pure effort in finishing makes him so tough. Really happy I get to watch him for 3 more years at OSU.

Some smoke that Joey McKenna may be leaning toward OSU. I would imagine that he would slot in at 149 and Micah would bump to 157. That makes for a strong lineup top to bottom if they can figure out 125.

He would be a great addition and Micah could definitely bump up to 157, but with the Racer addition at 157 (I think that Racer is very, very good and could contend for AA status next year), I don't know how that all shakes out for the upcoming year. Now if he stays at 141, he could serve as a slight improvement on Hayes and then you have his health issues that are a major concern...so I actually think 141 might be his path for next season if he wants to come here, then maybe bump up the next year to 149 and Micah go to 157 (Racer goes up to 165 and Campbell to 174 with Bo's graduation). If he goes 149 and Micah stays, he will most likely not be able to beat him out. And I am not sure if Micah taking 157 instead of 149 to bump Racer and make room for McKenna makes us better...I think that is a toss-up.
All that being said, he would be a huge addition and that definitely qualifies as "one of them good problems" to figure out if he comes here. Joey had a disappointing NCAA Tourney, but I honestly think he could have just as easily won it imo.

I have to think that being in the OSU room would push him to levels he can't hit in the Stanford room. He definitely seemed to under achieve last year after having a great finish in 2016. It's a tough weight class for sure.

I would have to imagine that the bolded is his primary reason for the transfer. The weight class is a tough one, but having Tomasello, Pletcher, Hayes, M. Jordan, Racer, etc. to go with could certainly push him to a new level. I am all for getting him in and figuring it out later.
