Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

You can't deny the B1G dominance in wrestling. From 57kg - 125kg, you have Iowa (Lee), Penn State (Zain), Cornell (Dake, lone exception), Penn State (Brooks), Snyder (Ohio State even though the announcers seemed to think he went to PSU just because he joined their club after college), and *ichigan (Parris, though I am disappointed in Gable for not being the guy and not wanting a shot at a gold medal). Plus all the other B1G guys that were in contention. Really impressive showing for the conference.

I might run my first through a wall on Brooks beating Taylor for personal reasons, but that's how it shakes out sometimes. Awful, awful call stopping the match while David is in on leg and able to score. Who knows what happens, but you let it happen there.

Snyder is a huge positive though, let's go have at it big guy. Rooting for him, he looks like a tank!

It’s that dad strength lol. As men get older they continue to develop nueromuscular fibers. I feel like Synder may be in his prime looking at his physical and control on the mat.

He probably is at his prime.
Kyle Snyder: Born November 20, 1995, 28 years old.
Google: The average age of all Olympic wrestling champions is 26.79 years

Makes sense haha. Hope he can get one more, wrestling has a much shorter time clock than most sports. I think he is in his prime, but a rematch with Sadulaev seems inevitable. He can beat him no doubt, but the field will be tough.

Don't shoot the messenger here and I know that's not what you were doing, but PSU is going all out on Blaze. OSU is definitely doing the same, but Cael is making this kid a priority (everyone is). Problem is if Cael really wants a recruit, look out. For David Taylor, he came out to the Champaign County Fair to meet all of his family and friends, went to watch all the shows, etc. Basically kissing babies and shaking hands, he just knows how to close. When he moved from Iowa State to PSU, there was no question Taylor was following him. Blaze just knows how gifted he is and has the work ethic, so he wants to go to the best school to get him to his ultimate goals.

Ryan is great at it too though and has stolen some PA guys that Cael was after for real, so I am not writing this one off by any means. Just saying don't be shocked if the choice is PSU as much as that agonizes me to type it. Kid is so important for OSU to land.

Well some guy on FLO predicted a few weeks ago that Blaze would indeed pick the Nits. Of course he also predicted Bo Bassett to
OSU which I can't see at all. I think if Blaze's brother enters the portal Coach Ryan could grab him which would open the door for
both Blaze brothers to stay in Ohio. I guess the trick there is to find a spot for both in the lineup. There would have to be some
red shirting and heart-to-heart talks to pull that off. I do hear the Blaze family loves Logan Steiber so that could be a factor as well.

We have our hands full in trying to keep Blaze in Ohio, there is no doubt about it. And Bassett to OSU I definitely do not see happening, that would be the coup of the century. If we could get both Blaze brothers in Columbus, you absolutely go for that if they are up for it. Older Blaze (Joey) would have a tough fight for a roster spot (potentially Sasso, Wilcox and/or Paddy....Vince Bouzakis a year later), but the health of either guy at 157 is far from a given. That can be sorted out, just get them here.

Vince Bouzakis making some noise wrestling in the Junior National Duals last weekend by going undefeated (7-0, all Tech falls)
Completely different wrestlers despite the familial relationship, but Vince might be the better wrestler or at least a better prospect. It cannot be understated how big it was to get his commitment.
