Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Not entirely sure what 'attached' versus 'unattached' means in the wrestling world....does attached mean they can wear tOSU colors, and unattached means they wear a blank singlet? Help me clear away the fog please. Go Bucks! Also, does unattached means they do NOT burn a redshirt year?

Not sure all the rules associated with it but unattached means they can still Redshirt.

Nicholas Boykin and Kollin Moore, both members of the Ohio State wrestling program, made reservations for the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials (Apr. 4-5) in State College, Pa., by way of placing inside the top-5 of their weight class at the U.S. Senior Nationals (Dec. 21-22). Moore advanced to the 97-kilogram freestyle finals while Boykin placed fourth in Greco-Roman at the same weight.

In addition to the two current Buckeyes, three recent Ohio State alumni also clinched participation for the Olympic Trials. Nathan Tomasello (57 kg), Joey McKenna (65 kg) and Myles Martin (86 kg) all reached the finals of their respective freestyle weight classes. McKenna and Martin were both seeded fifth and knocked off the No. 4 and No. 1 seeds en route to the championship bout. McKenna’s semifinal tilt against Yianni Diakomihalis was a rematch of the 2019 NCAA finals at 141 pounds.

Dual Arizona State on Monday night, who beat PSU in a dual earlier this year. Looking at the projected lineup and listening to the recent interview with Ryan, we're going to probably take a beating. Kinner moved up from 133, so DeCatur is probably pulling a redshirt to wrestle there...but probably not a top 20 guy there now. Cleary at 157 and no sign of Hayes coming back. Rocky is moving up to 184, which I like over Hoffman, but that's a huge adjustment. Singletary likely taking a medical redshirt, apparently his injury is much worse than the staff thought. Traub is filling in well, but not even close to Singletary. Hopefully the home crowd wills us to a win. But looking at where things sit, I'm not sure we're even a top 5 team nationally with the holes in the lineup.

DeCatur and Rocky both won their weight classes at F&M Open today

Taking on ASU live in FS1 right now. Have split the first couple matches, with Jordan Decatur taking down #15 Kramer for ASU.

Huge win in his varsity premiere, no wonder the redshirt came off. Luke tech falled his guy 19-4 and Sasso was just 1 point shy of bonus in a 10-3 win. Bucks off to a hot start with an 11-3 lead. Some big matches coming up though and you can pretty much bank on losses at 157 and heavy, so lots of wrestling left.

Yeah, Sasso gave a point away giving up a late escape rather than taking a stall warning. Hopefully that point ends up being moot.

I know it, should've just stayed on the leg and taken the warning.

But HUGE win for Kaleb Romero over Valencia! 7-3 decision and only gave up a takedown trying to get bonus at the eber. THAT is what Romero is capable of and why he came in ranked so high. Love how aggressive he wrestled in that match, hope he opens up on offense like that moving forward. Up 14-9, that was a critical match to win after Smith lost by decision to Shields at 165.
