Down 10 with 5min left in the 2nd. 10 fouls to 2. We'll be lucky to have 6 total players that can play by the end of this game.
Both teams not shooting very well but Defense has been tight. Stuelke pushing her weight around and getting getting no whistles. It's the scum game ladies version right now. Ugh

Well, that was unexpected. But, their three's were going in, and ours weren't. Believe Kitts is more important than previously imagined. She has to be in their to provide support to Elsa. And with that entre, Elsa has a couple of 'back to the basket' moves, but has zero on 'facing the basket'. Other than a screen for a guard coming across, would like to see her fake a handoff, and while the person guarding Elsa takes a step towards the cutter, have Elsa wheel and drive toward the hoop. Of course, she's gotta be closer to the free throw line than the halfcourt line. And Hobbs doesn't seem to have the skillset to block out, and or turn and put up a mid-range jumper either. A look at the box score, rebounds, will show that.

Really thought that this was going to be Iowa part 2. They were raining in 3's like no tomorrow. Plus, the Buckeyes weren't making 3's in answer. But, as usually is, the 3's dried up, mostly because Wiscy couldn't get the ball upcourt. tOSU's press started working, and the Wiscy was almost near their TO game numbers in the first quarter. Wiscy did hang around for a half, and then the Buckeye talent took over, winning by 20+. When one of our players starts knocking down 3's, good things happen.

Gave up 23 points and were down 9 in the first quarter then held Bucky to 5 points in the 2nd, but only scored 12. That 2nd quarter was some ugly basketball by both teams. 3rd and 4th quarters were much better!

Strong offensive performance and meh defensive performance in a win over the Huskers today. I'd really like them to get Kitts back and find a way to get Elsa to play angrier more of the time when she doesn't have to be out there for quite as many minutes. I think Elsa can be a beast if the staff can demand it from her. If they can get those two to play with consistent force, they just might have something.

Yeah, they were up 20, then let Nebby cut it to 4, then pulled away late.
Jeloni got her second foul about 3 minutes in on a BS charge where the defender was not set, so she sat for 7 minutes.
Then she still got 30 points.

I was trying to figure out where tOSU got all the extra players today. According to the announcers Eliza had several touches, including rebounds and points. Emma also had several touches. There were also a couple other names I had never heard before. Maybe some of the defensive problems were caused by those new players having to get used to each other. Although the numbers and the names on the back of the jerseys seemed to be the same players we've had all year.

Both wife and I thought the same thing. There were/are a number of players, that for whatever McDuff's reason, haven't cleared the pine most of the year, even in the run-aways. Well, they played yesterday. Had the booklet they give away at games (from games we went to), and looked up their number/stats. Couple of transfers, and several freshwomen that really hadn't gotten any court time. Hey, does anyone know what Kitt is suffering from, and when will she return? She takes rebounding pressure off of Elsa, who by the way, is looking better and better. And don't know of any center that runs the court the way she does.....

Phenomenal game by the sisters and the rest of the starters are really playing well. That blip in Iowa happens in this conference but if they keep playing defense and get Kitts back they can end up in the Final Four.
