Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Watched the Lady Bucks last night. Appeared to have two scorers, and not much D. Once again, Coach just walked up and down the sideline, not shouting encouragements, etc. just chewing gum with his mouth open. D did tighten up at the end, but too little, too late. We miss having Dorkas and Alia under the hoop. Go Bucks!

Thats a shitty loss. Opposite from what the first 5 games were. What is it with Buckeye coaches right now not being able to adjust to shit happening to them, going wrong I should say, during a damn game?

Holtmann of all guys is probably the exception. His guys come back like champions from stuff that got em in the first half a lot of times Other coaches keep with the trying the same thing over and over again when it isnt working.

Without Madison Greene the collective foot speed for this team is dramatically hindered so when teams press, like Indiana, or get out running it hurts this team quite a bit. They have to shoot well and get teams in foul trouble to combat that.

Observe that many of the above posters agree with the fact that our WBB coach is not very good. Indy had several big runs, and McGuff just stood there chomping his gum. Would have at least called several timeouts to try and break the momentum of Indiana, but he did not. Really not certain what sort of talent he has, but clearly what he put on the court did not match up particularly well with what Indiana had. Looks like there is a single OSU rebounder out there, as the others people are undersized to bang for rebounds. When they're hitting, a four guard offense is good, but when not, there's no way to come back. IU's big hit the - what - first 9 points of the game? Time for a change. PS, happened to see Ucon on the tube, and saw Dorkas go for 14 and 12 rebounds, and Ucon players weren't looking for her. She did it with rebounds and put-backs, and posting up down low. Gee, what an interesting way to use a 6'4" player. Instead of popping 3's. Come on Gene, time to focus on the baseball and women's basketball teams. Upgrades are needed. Go Bucks!

Yep. He can't coach and he can't recruit. Why is he an Ohio State coach?
