"It was the best of D's, and it was the worst of D's". That sums up with we all saw last evening. Dorkas seems to have her legs back, and was running (and shooting) pretty well. She was a force underneath, and she and Patty basically controlled the boards. Liked how Jacy was all over the court, either popping threes, but most of all, breaking Iowa's back with her ability to get to the rim for layups. Green played well, and filled in very well when Iowa sloughed off on Shelton. And Braxtin - don't believe it happens without her being the 'glue' of that team. Saw some good minutes from the bench players, and everybody had a bit more energy than the NW game. But the defense. I get that 22 - Clark - is a stud. The person that is going to get their points, and she did so, with seemingly everyone taking their turn trying to guard her. Best seemed to be Dorkas, with her long arms, but slow(er) feet, versus Green's quick feet, but suseptible to the step-back shots. What set me off, was tOSU team working hard to score, only to let Iowa score a myriad of points on the back door plays. Their point (Clark?), whipped passes to Iowa's big (and others) under the basket, who were unguarded, and having a cow calling for the ball. Believe Iowa got about 12-14 points from those plays, making the game closer than it really needed to be. Seemed that everyone at times was guilty of not knowing where their person was, trying to push Iowa's ball handler farther outside. McGuff either needs to assign a person to guard the rim, or re-educate the forwards on their responsibilities. Overall, a nice game, am very surprised that Iowa is not ranked in the top 25, they played tOSU closely. Go Bucks! Doggone it, hate that the 'self-imposed' ban on post season play is going to happen.
