Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Gained an appreciation for women's BB as our only is a girl, as she played. Gave it up for water polo, and candidly she was better at polo. Nevertheless in college, she told me that she watched some games, and she felt she could have played. OK, history aside, tOSU will have a puncher's chance to get to Elite Eight, if not sneaking in the Final Four, IF they can limit opposition's bigs, both in terms of rebounding, and of course, scoring inside. From what I've seen of some of the other teams, they have very good guards, so the press might not work as well. Yeah, we're better this year with the press, with the addition of Celeste, and I'm thinking that UConn and NC are going to look for some revenge for the upsets last year. It will be enjoyable, and hoping that the Lady Bucks can stop C. Clark's assists. She's gonna score for certain, but stopping her assist output will be the difference. Go Bucks!

Having a week off at this point in the season would be a marvelous way to regain 'fresh legs'. Kudos to WBB trainers, it always looks like our team is always running around on D. No one seems to be bent over and huffing/puffing. Good substitutions as well. Don't believe I've ever seen Jacy sweat, nor run out of energy (nor sit on the pine for any length). go Bucks!

I'm hoping this is a great break for the freshmen who might be hitting the college wall about now. They won't contribute as much the rest of the year but any experience they get now could go a very long way when next season rolls around.

With eight grad students and/or super seniors, not much room for the frosh to get minutes. But yeah, going from what, a 20 game HS schedule to 30+ games can be a bit daunting. But with blow-outs such as Nebraska, we got a peek at what's to come from WBB after all those 8 pack it in. Liked some of the guard play, and saw the blonde big put a nice move on underneath, but see too much of Mika, and less of the SC big. Coach likes his guards, and thank goodness for Taylor Thiery, as she not only jumps center, but skies underneath, and rolls to pick up the driving guard/forward from the other team. Will be anxious to see who McDuff gets to replace her in a year. Go Bucks

With Iowa’s loss to Indiana last night, OSU can now lock up the regular season title even before they have to go Iowa. Beat MD and beat TSUN (both in Columbus) and they win the title outright!
Yep, and if they do that, they should secure a #1 seed either by winning at Iowa OR by winning the B1G tournament.
