Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

HUGE game tonight. Get your pom-poms out folks the ladies need to get back into the dominant posture they had early in the season. Hopefully Jacy is legit full go tonight the way she can do it. Indiana would not have beaten us the first time with her out there I'm confident saying that. We'll see tonight the place should be freaking sold out. Lets Go Bucks!!!

Mika did mess her ankle up in the last one but Jacy should be out there unless we got another coach lying on the injury front. :ohno:
He didn't seem fully committed to her playing tonight when interviewed Saturday:

McGuff reiterated on Saturday that Sheldon hasn’t had a setback.

“It’s probably more me (being cautious) right now than anything,” he said. “She’s still day to day. I’ll be frank: I didn’t think she was moving like she normally does when she was healthy at Maryland.”

As helpful as it would be to have her against Indiana, that must be weighed, McGuff said, with trying to ensure that she’s fully healthy for the season’s stretch run, particularly the postseason.

Indiana must spend alot on basketball nets. By the way they showed out at the Schott, expect they'd burn through one or two a practice in Bloomington. Don't believe I've seen a better exhibition of flat out good shooting - women or men. Their big had her way with Mika's replacement, what, 17 for 19? Their off-guard went what, 6 for 7 from the 3? Others made plenty as well, almost 70% (not from the charity stripe), but shooting the ball. tOSU got confused at times, trying to double up Indy's big, and left passing lanes wide open for easy lay-ups. Guess it shows which team has played together all year, and which team is a patchwork. Our girls played hard, but spent too much time dribbling, Mikesell couldn't buy a three until game was out of hand, McMahon made a good showing, but darn it, when they run the 'weave', the goal is to get closer to the basket rather than farther away, with a cutter finding a crease and driving for a lay-up. Oh yeah, the Buckeye vaunted press ain't what it was before Greene went down and Jacy is still healing. Indy broke it easily, sending four of theirs against three of ours, and then the off folk drifting out to the wings as release points. Still got some turnovers though, so McGuff won't change it.....Anyway, Go Bucks!
