Game Thread Ohio State vs Penn State - 11/23/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

Well, we won. I think it is good to get tested and have to overcome some adversity. That being said, that should have been a 30-40 point win without the stupid turnovers and penalties. There were some very questionable play calls on the offensive side. The defense looked fallible for once, but stepped up when they needed to. Young is just so fun to watch. But one thing I will say...Borland shouldn't be playing if Browning is able to play...love the kid, but he is an obvious weak link that defenses are exploiting...not every single play, but the bad plays are killing us.

Agreed with most that we needed to push the ball down the field more. We won and I get the concerns of turnovers with the weather, but we turned the damn ball over enough running the ball...really needed to take more shots downfield. We won though and that is all we needed. Now lets go ape rape some Wolverines next week.

I really am curious to hear Day’s answer when asked about taking a borderline overly conservative approach. @NorthCoastKid was right when one of the run calls would have been find had it not been for a bad read, but at moments things were still questionable.

Fields was hitting some guys, so I’m not sure unless the left hand was more of a problem than we were led to believe.

As much as I make fun of Chardonnay, if tsun can find ways to put it in Borland's hands to keep him from breaking long runs, he's going to find his way into the secondary quite a bit. For all the Spielman comparisons, the game has fundamentally changed to a degree that football smarts and toughness can't overcome being slow the way they could with Spielman. Today, it just means getting burned for large running gains.

Agreed. I think there are situations we can use Borland in, but around 80% of the time Browning should be in.

Too many turnovers; however, a win is a win. It was a "good" win (over a top 10 team) too and remember; there is no such thing as a "good" loss.

11-0

1000% agreed... we need to get down field more and IMO we need to call the plays to do it. We will not grind put 91 yard 5 minute TD drives in the playoffs so we need to trust Justin to go downfield.
