If you watch his highlights, he rarely runs between the tackles and when its called he quickly bounces everything to the outside. Teams are figuring him out and if you keep him from getting to the edge you can contain him. Their line is so shitty that almost all of his big runs this year are on broken plays and runs where he beat teams to the sideline. If we can keep him inside we can stop him.

I watched most of the first half of their game at Northwestern, and the Wildcats were pretty much selling out on the run, and appeared to have had their MLB spy on Barkley. Once the Pedsters starting throwing the ball more, it loosened up the run a bit. Still, even on Barkley's lone long run (in the second half), he had to juke around in the backfield to break free. He didn't appear to be hobbled at the time...

I kind of thought he looked a little less nimble tbh. I'm not trying to discount NW's defense as they played the best they could. Just hasn't looked the same since he was slow getting off the turf against Iowa iirc. That targeting call against NW killed them more than anything.
