Game Thread Ohio State vs Oklahoma, 09/09/17 @ 7:30 ET (ABC)

We'll be ready. Weber is a good back, and Dobbins will turn out to be a great one. But both those guys will face the wrath of Obo and Caleb Kelly.

You know if you'd just point out the strengths and weaknesses of OU you'd be forever welcome here. Instead you talk about a September Heisman dismantling one of the best teams in the country at home. It's just silly.

admins, why is this troll still permitted to post? he brings nothing substantive to the board and is here for only one reason: to troll. it would be one thing if he were the kind to return even in defeat, but we know that is not at all the case. sure, he'll claim otherwise, but we know better than that.

i expected better conversations with oklahoma fans. they're definitely not sending over their best. that is too bad.
I'm sure some are good people though.

sorry.couldn't help myself.

You know, I try to be an open minded person who doesn't believe stereotypes like "people from Oklahoma are all ignorant, mouth breathing, inbred, trailer dwellers" but then they get on the internet and, well, it's hard to keep an open mind.

I've already told you guys countless times...

OU's strength is their quarterback, offensive line, and also their defensive back seven (minus some inexperience at corner opposite Jordan Thomas.)

A weakness might be our kicking game, defensive line, and as mentioned already the depth and experience at corner.

What about Ohio State? Do they have any strengths and weaknesses?

Clearly your QB has not been a strength against this defense, nor your oline. Your primary game plays well into the hands of the Bucks.

Meanwhile you cite your defensive front 7 as an issue against, what appears to be, a formidable OSU running game.

Oh, the Sooners are also walking into one of the hardest places in the country to win.

I refer to our previous points... we don't see where the hubris is justified.

He's no XrayRandy

In fact I'd say he's a pretty typical visiting troll from the mid 2000's. Gives you a good idea why you don't see much of it anymore I think. It's just a very tired act.

Exactly. Not quit as tired as the occasional backpedalling when he gets too close to the line. Not quite as tired as the self-appointed cooler-than-everyone-else crowd who befriend him during the backpedalling. But pretty damn tired.

Their O lineman compared the OSU DL to KU

So random internet guy disrespects OU and it means "oh noes, they're motivated now", but an actual OU OL expects our DL to be like KU and that is, of course, meaningless. Did I get the tired and old act (ironic as it's coming from a 12-year-old) about right?

Stop speaking on things you know nothing about.

correct, because there is no analog what so ever for what may or may not happen this weekend. its not like these teams have played each other in the last 4 years. so really there is no way for us to have any basis to extrapolate on. thats a really good point.

OU can and will run the ball effectively.

just like last year.

But why would they need to rely on the run when Baker can just carve up OSU's putrid secondary?

just like last year.

OU has the best OLINE in the country which will nullify OSUs biggest strength. (Dline)

just like last year.

It's obvious you guys are terrified

i am a rather fearful person in general and the font you use is reasonably worrisome so...

by the way you keep bringing up last year as if it has any significance

another good point, why would we compare individual match ups that actually happened last year when several of those matches will actually happen again this week?

You lost your best playmaker and didn't replace him.

yeah... we only put up 49 points, on the road, against a good defense, in our first game of the year. if we had put up 90 i might disagree with you. but clearly our offense is horrible. 49 points in a football game? thats just disgraceful. its like scoring 50 in a college basketball game.

Meanwhile OU has playmakers all over the field.

just like last year.

Mayfield is gonna tear your D apart, and is obviously the much better college QB than Barrett which is why he will win th3 Heisman this year. JT won't be a finalist, and probably won't even be in the discussion for being a finalist.

just like last ye...... wait a minute!!!! holy shit!! are you austin kendall!?!??!??????? your here because your super bored as no one is allowed to interview you this year huh? i get it.

I'm a troll yet there are people in this thread that actually believe JT is the better college QB. do any of you have objectivity?

objectivity? no, but we do have functioning memories that happen to line up with recorded history.

And did you know UTEP is also the only Division 1 Texas school to have a national title in men's hoops?

did you know the tOSU synchronized swimming team has won 29 national championships? BOOM!! see, i know things that are completely unrelated to this conversation too!!
