OU is out there best two running backs, their best receiver, and just lost their best returning receiver this preseason camp. So the issues we had with Indiana I know they don't have the horses to emulate what they did. If Oklahoma is going to rely on the running threat of Baker then I'm not sure how they get much going

The conversation in this thread for the most part seemed to consist of one remarkably ignorant Sooner displaying his ignorance for several pages, followed by a couple of pages of JWins smacking him around with facts. He then got desperate and brought up something negative that, in his ignorance, he thought was inarguable (PI call in 1st OT of 2002 NC game). He was immediately bludgeoned with facts by several people. Rather than respond to any of these facts, he gave us the metaphorical teenager eyeroll and buggered off. This was followed by over three weeks of dead silence.

Compare this (and last year's Okie thread) to the 2005 Texas thread that brought more high-quality visitors to the board than we've seen since.

I offer this as context for the following serious question:


Why?


Is it because Oklahoma had a lot fewer fans than Texas? Seems doubtful.

Or is it because the Internet in general and sports message boards in particular have become a collection of insular communities that mix much less with one another than they used to? Have the trolls and teenagers chased decent people into their own cloistered echo-chambers where diversity of thought has become increasingly rare, regardless of how welcoming that particular community may be to different ideas?

Whatever.

Fuck Oklahoma.

I'll say it again... Mark Andrews shouldn't have 50 yards receiving.

They're down so much and 140 of Bakers 300 yards went to one person.

I don't give a damn... if we allow Andrews to go for 150 receiving then I'm convinced I can be a coordinator in college

Sooners will thrash the Buckeyes. Too much offensive firepower... and JT Barrett is mediocre. I predict he'll throw at least 2 int's.. (One to be returned for a touchdown)... OU has the best offensive line in the country. It will get ugly. Many tears will be shed in Columbus next week and I can't wait for the memes. Loving the false confidence from you guys though. Kinda cute.

Nobody said anything about UTEP. Y'all struggled with Indiana... imagine what the best QB, best offensive line, and a huge mixture of explosive talent will do.... we're gonna hang 50 points on the little Buckeyes. No way little JT can keep up. He will get flustered and throw multiple INT's. That's just the way it's gonna go.
