Ohio State vs Miami Predictions

This I can understand - looks like trying to do an end-around.

Still think it's trivial as hell, though.
If there really were no other expense reimbursements and the guys paid their own costs for gas and whatever along the way, and were simply reimbursed improperly from a procedural standpoint then it is a pretty harsh penalty. But all the guys know not to take cash reimbursements....or cash from just about anyone other than their parents for that matter.

It sounds like the NCAA thought it was worse than that, given that cash changed hands; probably driving the 2 game suspension.

Although I have to hold the kids accountable for their mistakes, I have a huge amount of sympathy for them because they really do live a different existence than most college students. It is damn tough on them. They have to stick together because they must question the motives of any "new friends" whether they are fellow students or adults outside of the OSU Athletic Department. My oldest is a D1 soccer player and she pointed out that a lot of varsity athletes from different sports are comfortable hanging out together simply because they know that they are all in the same boat, and can let their guard down because of it.

I saw a demand on the Miami boards - all fans in the Miami area must attend the game. Suddenly everyone wanted a better definition of what constitutes the Miami area. People wanted to make sure the bandwagon had dropped them off far enough away that they wouldn't be obligated, I suppose.

Just try to get them to stop drinking their little cups of espresso long enough to attend the game, that would be a feat. Then look in South Beach for the cheerleaders. They might even find them with a few athletes who have taken their talents there. Put them in a bus and you have a fan base. I worked in Miami for a while, love the coffee, the Cuban foods and the beautiful "scenery" there. Hate the drivers, the traffic, and the sports that Miami has.

21-10. Hope to see the team start to come together more this week but it's still early in the season. I still think this is a BCS team that will be a lot better as the season goes on! :oh:
They can only get better as the year rolls on......

Morning BP. The air is cool & crisp. Smells like Fall - smells like college football time. I've already given my prediction. However if the Bucks are winning by double digits, then I can't see it being more then 10-13 points. Unless the offense opens up that significantly with Hall back. Either way I won't complain about any W.
