It a combination sticker recognizing the deaths of two members of the OSU family. One is Caity Mather's (sp?) brother (RM) and the other was a young child of another OSU head coach (MB). I don't recall the specifics, but it was in a recent alum magazine.

OL, Running Game, etc.

Outside of Zwik's repeat identical interceptions, the things that disappointed me the most was our lack of running ability. And this time I am not buying the canned excuses such as: 1. "you cannot run the ball when the opponent stack eight players in the box"; or, 2. "they ganged up on the run because they had no respect for our passing ability. For one, it did not look like they always put eight defenders up front. And Marshall ran the ball quite effectively at times which tOSU didn't. For another, our passing game was OK (except for Zwik's poor judgment on a number of plays).

According to the commentators, Marshall's DL was quite undersized..probably below 250 lbs on average. And our OL still was not able to establish any dominance. This really does not bode well for our performance against future opponents that feature 300+ lbs DTs.

Any thoughts?

Fox out, Marshall passes on us

For all the Fox doubters out there I think it's safe to say when Fox went out is when Marshall satrted the consistant passing on us,including that touch-down in the 4th. I really hope he can come back quickly.

Disappointed.

I'll be the one to say it, but our defense straight up did not play today, and Mark Synder did not do a very good job at adjusting. I mean guys why would you play 10 yards off a reciever when they run screens and draws all day? come on it was pathetic. You have to play bumb coverage with the speed that we have. You dont' necessarily have to change your coverage just bumb the damn recievers!! Also what happened to our D-Line? I think we should stick with the 3-4 and take advantage of our Linebackers because our D-line sure ain't gett'n it done.


Overall right now I'm more confident in our offense than what our defense has shown. There was infact an improvement I thought in our passing game, but our defense downgraded in every aspect. We're Lucky we didn't lose this game, because we were outplayed and even somewhat out coached besides the last minutes of the ball game. Only reason we won is because he have a bad ass kicker. I still think our defense is one of the better but we MUST improve or we might be playing to save our season when we play Michigan. Worst Defensive game I've seen .

Now this is my opinion so please guys don't tear me apart for say'n this stuff.

I noticed a lot of missed tackles on the Only long drive that Marshall had. The two of the turnovers lead to 14 of the 21 points. With 4 turnovers we were lucky to win. I think the team needs to spend more times on the basics of holding on to a football.
