Ohio State vs #14 Wisconsin (official game thread)

Does anyone else really hate it when Butler dribbles up the court and shoots a deep three 2 seconds into the possesion about 25% of the time?
Before December? No... he's deadly. On tired legs? Yes. 25%? Hello hyperbole.

Another frustrating loss. The wide open three's I can't figure out, how can we continue to give good shooters wide open looks over and over. The offense was terrible down the stretch, not one decent shot attempt the last three minutes. Once again we get to within three late and we think it's the last possession of the game and jack up a three instead of trying to work for a good shot. We had momentum for about five seconds when we were up two and got the ball back and Butler inexplicably tries to throw it over Flowers and he steals it easily and gets the layup. Momentum gone. Oh well, I guess we have another opportunity Tuesday night to get a big road win, let's hope we can somehow get it together.

Ohio State is now 1-7 against teams that were ranked at the time they played them

Wich goes to show we may be a year away from something special. A strong finish, with or without wins, just as long as we fight the whole time, could prep this team for a downright dominating season next year.

I'm not saying this season's a wash. Just looking to the future instead of letting the present make me break shit.

hey, i love the effort, this team really plays its ass off, but the results? well, they speak for themselves...
It's tough to watch at times... but it's much easier to stomach than talent without effort.

Love the energy Koufos, Lauderdale and others are starting to bring to the table. Should be some nice building blocks heading into next year, which should bring a true 1, 5 & hopefully a go-to scorer. Koufos at the 4, esp with his recent aggression, could be filthy alongside Mullens.

Tough loss(redundant?) but at least we keep seeing flashes of what may be in store for next year. It sucks that lack of depth at point guard is keeping this team from being in the top 25.

Oh, and please keep giving those minutes to Lauderdale, Thad. I love his play.

Didn't see many open 3s the last 10 min... thought OSU did a pretty good job contesting them down the stretch...

played more than enough defense down the stretch. Simply don't have it on the other end right now...

I'd just love to see us play a man to man. When you're playing a team with a great shooter (and Bohannan was really hot today) the zone just isn't gonna get in his face quick enough. Frustrating to see these guys bust their butts in the zone and give up a 3 with 3 seconds left on the shot clock. Wisky really worked the ball around well. Shooters will get shots in the zone...period.

Anyway, hard to watch sometimes. I think we had several really great matchups against their man...yet Wisky still played well in it, even with a few guys being physically outmatched. I think it would nice to just give the man look on occasion. Not much to lose at this point. Need to get these guys used to playing it for next year.

agree 100%. if we were getting our asses kicked and not trying, it would be one thing, but... all these 5 and 6 point losses when the games are within reach really sting. these kids are *this close* to being a REALLY dominant team. eventually they'll put it together. hopefully on Tuesday. :)

We held them to 58 points. The defense did its job. We lost because we only scored 53 points, just like against Indiana.
