Game Thread Ohio State @ Purdue - 10/20/18, 7:30PM (ABC)

I know how you feel about our donators not being football boosters, but this seems like something that someone with Wexner's money could accomplish.

He's got the money. He's got the god damned medical complex named after him. He's got a box at the stadium. There's no reason--there's no god damned reason, Dude--that he can't get us a stage 3 midget with tourette's syndrome to inspire the team. NO GOD DAMNED REASON!

Terrible OL & Back 7 coaching. Worst loss in recent memory. We'll get over it, though.

Off topic, but my awe of Nick Saban went up by quite a few notches after tonight. I already think he's the best ever to coach the college game, but the consistency over the years with different coaches and assistants is just unreal.
The dude replaced both his OC and DC plus had to replace almost his entire back 7. Possibly sitting on one of the best teams of all time.

GUYS....THE SKY ISNT FALLING.

This is NOT the end of the season.

There's still a lot of football left to be played. There's still a chance we can get into the playoffs. And if we don't, we don't have to play fucking Bama.

scUM moves up to the top 5 no doubt. We beat them THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.

My dad died this year and tomorrow is his birthday. And, I can't help but think of what Buckeye football really means to me and even after a loss like this he and I would be the only ones still awake.

He would say, first hand me a beer. Then, whatever shit happens after this we still have 2, 3, 4 whatever games to enjoy together.

Championships are FUCKING AWESOME. But, I'm reminded on this crappy ass day it is ONE LOSS and no matter what, for me, this isn't what this is about.

There's only so many games and time to enjoy them. Let's do it.

And in the end, at least we're not scUM, PSU, ND .BAMA.....fans

Don't see a path for two SEC teams this year.
Path =
Look through the scenarios...that’s not even in the ballpark of possibilities of a 11-1 OSU or Mich
First never underestimate the power of ESPN. We need Bama to win out. A one loss Bama gets in over us even without winning SEC. Then a GA or LSU. There is still a path for them to get two. The problem isn’t the loss, it’s they we lost BIG to a team a 3-3 Purdue team that lost to E. Michigan

We are stacked everywhere on offense. The o-line is holding us back from being a juggernaut. It's not just about favorable blocking numbers. We got good looks to run the ball tonight from the defense and they still couldn't make their blocks. I really hope it's as simple as getting some bodies back from injury and shuffling people around, but this is probably what we can expect for the rest of the season.

The defense is just a mess everywhere, and I think the aggressiveness of the scheme is playing into our players weaknesses.

You left out 100+ yards in penalties every game... other wise you nailed it.

Right, penalties. That’s the one thing I feel like the team did about the same. Maybe even a little better since they were on the road. Turnovers too. (The pick six was, whatever, at that point.)

Everywhere else this team got worse. And getting worse is just the trajectory it seems the team has been on. Really disappointing with all the talk of being physically and mentally tougher than an opponent and power of the unit stuff we hear.

This is the first time I have felt like an Ohio State team won’t be able to turn it around after a loss. There is just so many things working against them. From not being able to field a semi-competent defense to not lining up right on offense. (Simple shit) And the utter lack of ability to seize momentum is just mind boggling. It’s like the coaching staff slipped some LSD in the Gatorade and it ended up on the wrong sideline.

Not winning The Game without getting A LOT better.

Not winning A game without make several changes; in the lineup and the staff.

I don’t see either happening because of stubborn nepotism. Loyal. To. A. Fault.
