Ohio State now #3 in All-Time Winning Percentage, #5 in Wins

To expand on what Mili said, we are 760-294-53 (.721) including 16-19 in Bowl games (.457).

Since 1993, we are 111-29-1 (.793). In 10 Bowl games since '93, we are 5-5 (.500).

Overall, Tressell is 35-7 (.833), 22-2 (.917) at Home, and 19-5 (.792) against the Big Ten.

Cool stat Dihard.

One other tidbit, IIRC and we finish 2 games better than PSU and Bama we end up top 5 all time in wins and win%. Throw in our Heismans and NC's and there is no way you can get around the fact OSU is one of the 5 best programs all time(meaning longer than 20 years for our Miami and FSU friends).

Just a little confirmin data from D-1 Football (Formerly WAJL10), a great site for info, but a clunky interface. Here's the top 10.

http://football.netdesigners.us/info/records/wins.php

W L T Gms Pct.
1 Michigan 833 274 38 1145 0.744
2 Notre Dame 796 258 41 1095 0.746
3 Nebraska 789 311 42 1142 0.709
4 Texas 775 311 35 1121 0.707
5 Alabama 758 293 43 1094 0.713
6 Ohio St. 757 294 53 1104 0.710
7 Penn St. 757 331 42 1130 0.688
8 Oklahoma 737 284 53 1074 0.711
9 Tennessee 737 303 53 1093 0.699
10 Southern California 707 297 54 1058 0.694

Again, those stats are through the 2003 season and do not include this season's results. Thus, we are indeed now one game ahead of Penn State and still one game behind Alabama.

Yep. I guess I didn't make that too clear, but you're right Mili. Just wanted to show some other data about all time wins. Each site seems to calculate some of the totals differently. I'm guessing some of the early games could be questionable as to exhibition or not. Probably some of the special bowl or preseason games could be looked at this way as well.

In any event, OSU is moving up the charts!

I'm guessing you're using Stassen/CFBDataWarehouses numbers?

Using Stassen's own numbers Oklahoma should actually be ahead of Bama and behind Texas now: 765-294-53 = .71178

Using CFBDataWarehouse's numbers as of the end of last season and then adding on this year's records. You could be right about OU jumpimg 'Bama...I didn't check for that.
Right. That's what I'm saying. Check it. :wink2:
