Just a note the new ITA rankings came out yesterday (to be accurate the Campbell's ITA college tennis rankings)

Campbell Soup Company to Serve as Title Sponsor: The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the governing body of college tennis, announced that a multi-year agreement has been reached between the ITA and the Campbell Soup Company in which the company will serve as the title sponsor for the ITA College Tennis Rankings and the ITA College Players of the Year awards. It is important and factually accurate to include ?Campbell? in the title so please remember when referring to the ITA Rankings to cite as Campbell/ITA College Tennis Rankings.
Northwestern, Stanford claim top spots in Campbell/ITA College Tennis Rankings

tOSU remained in third place nationally, but because of a change this week from human poll to computer point system the Stanford Cardinal men's team jumped from 5th to 1st place in the rankings. The Cardinal at 13-1 jumped past #4 Georgia, who they lost to at the ITA semifinals 4-2, passed #3 tOSU also 13-1, and even passed #2 undefeated Virginia, the winner of the ITA championship.

March 3, 2009 - ITA DI Men's Singles Rankings

Five Buckeyes were ranked in the ITA men's singles rankings, (they did not change the name to include the ITA sponsor yet)

Steven Moneke made a huge jump into the #4 slot,
Bryan Konieko was ranked #6.
Justin Kronauge is #20.
Balazs Novak (B-nock) is #71 and,
Shuhei Uzawa (Shuey) is ranked #100.
Have to believe Matt Allare will appear somewhere in this list very soon.

I mean do you seriously see any Big 10 team out there that can beat Ohio State:huh:. I really don't think that they will get contested until the NCAA's.

Here are the tough OOC testers that tOSU has left.

3/13 at #36 Texas A&M

3/24 at #14 Pepperdine

4/1 at #11 Kentucky

Don't like that these big matches are all on the road.

Here are the obstacles for another BTen championship also in order of opponent strength.

4/5 at #28 TSUN
3/29 vs. #24 Minnesota (at home)
4/19 vs. #19 Wisconsin (also home)
4/12 at #7 Illinois (This will start at noon on Easter Sunday; guess Illinois is looking to resurrect their program)

Litl it looks like tOSU is the clear favorite for a Bten title but an Illinois uprising could do them in.
