Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 17 Straight B1G Titles)

The official site has assembled a mind boggling compilation of Buckeye tennis success over the past 13 championship seasons.
http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/m-tennis/spec-rel/050718aaa.html

There have now been just six programs in ANY SPORT in Big Ten history to win 13 or more titles in a row and the Buckeyes currently have the longest active streak.
When one looks at the 13-year run as a whole, the numbers get even more astonishing:
  • Ohio State is 136-1 in Big Ten regular season matches since 2006.
  • Taking into account non-conference matches vs. Big Ten teams during the ITA Indoor National Championships as well as the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments, Ohio State is 177-5 against all Big Ten opponents.
    • All five of the losses have come to rival Illinois meaning that NO TEAM other than the Illini has beaten Ohio State over the last 13 years.
  • Included in the run since 2006 is 11 Big Ten Tournament titles. The lone two losses came in the championship matches of the 2012 and 2015 tournaments and both events were played in the state of Illinois. The 2012 tournament was at Northwestern and the 2015 tournament was on Illinois’ campus.
  • In the last 13 years, Ohio State is 231-1 at home
  • Since its last loss at home to a Big Ten team (5-2 to Illinois on April 2, 2003), the Buckeyes are 259-1
    • Since Ty Tucker took over at the start of the 2000 season, Ohio State is 306-6 at home. That is a .981 winning percentage.
  • Ohio State is hosting the NCAA Tournament First and Second rounds in Columbus for the 13th-consecutive season. The Buckeyes are a perfect 24-0 in the previous 12 years in NCAA Tournament matches at home
    • Over the last seven years, the Buckeyes have swept 13 of their last 14 opponents 4-0....

Four B1G teams win regionals and advance to the round of 16.
#4 seed Stanford bows out to U Mississippi, it ought to be considered a shocker, but Cardinal are absolutely unpredictable.
Bucks face B1G 4th place team Minnesota Friday at noon.
Looks like #1 seed Wake Forest (playing NCAA championship tourney on their home courts) has a clear path to the championship finals.

Men's Round of 16 (Friday)
[2] UCLA vs. [15] Michigan - 9 a.m.
[7] North Carolina vs. [10] USC - 9 a.m.
[6] Mississippi State vs. [11] Texas - 12 p.m.
[3] Ohio State vs. Minnesota - 12 p.m.
[1] Wake Forest vs. [16] Columbia - 4 p.m.
[8] Illinois vs. [9] TCU - 4 p.m.
[5] Texas A&M vs. Alabama - 7 p.m.

Stanford as the 4 overall seed bounced; I really like OSU's draw to make it to the Final 4, wouldn't be surprised at all if UNC is there instead of UCLA

“The balance of academics and athletics at the highest level is on display in this squad, which was the only Ohio State team to have all of its members named to the Ohio State Scholar-Athlete list for 2017-18. Men’s tennis is on an unparalleled streak in regular-season and tournament conference championships and has done so while steadily improving its academic performance. We extend our congratulations to the coaches, staff members, and, especially, the student-athletes for their accomplishments.”
