Wow is my reaction to the intensity and effort witnessed on the courts by several Bucks.
Dubs point set the pace with wins by Tubert and Mendez at #3, who are becoming an automatic point.
Wolf and Joyce at #1 sealed the dubs point with a solid performance, while McNally and Torp were closing in fast at #2.
The rain started as first sets in singles were finishing.
Joyce has now won 11 straight singles matches, and he was credited with sealing the fourth and final point.
McNally had a strong performance at #3 singles winning in straight sets over Aaron Hitzlik.
At #1 singles Torp would face the one B1G player who defeated him last year. Illinois Vukic has played on the pro circuit and won a futures title in 2017.
Torp was able to grab an early break outdoors, then cruised to an impressive 6-1 first set win. Torp also took advantage of several deuce points to go up 3-1 in the second set when the rain began. Inside Torp struggled on his serve but managed to break again for a spectacular 6-2 second set win and put point #2 on the board.
Bucks are back on the courts for their final home match of the season Sunday at noon vs. NW wildcats.
