The 2009 senior class has won four Big Ten regular-season titles and three Big Ten tournament titles since joining the team in the 2005-06 campaign.
?It?s a sad day to see those three guys play some of their last home matches for Ohio State,? Tucker said. ?At the same time, they?ve done a good job of helping to raise the program by taking it more seriously in each match. We start a new season now with championship season beginning and we just want to try to give our best performance possible out there. When you play around 35 matches in a season, sometimes you are not going to play your best, but as long as we continue to get quality guys like Ty, Steven and Bryan, we are going to be successful because they?ve played with heart.?
Schaub, Moneke and Koniecko have never lost at home in their four years at Ohio State and have won more matches than any other class in program history. The 2009 senior class has a 121-7 record (.945), advanced the NCAA tournament quarterfinals three-consecutive years and has a perfect 49-0 Big Ten record.

In singles, Moneke, a two-time ITA All-American, has 135 career singles wins and is the program?s all-time career singles wins leader. Moneke passed former Buckeye Vince Ng (1999-03) with 132 victories after defeating Joshua Graves of Northwestern, 6-2, 6-3 April 17 at No. 3 singles.
?I started thinking about the record in the second set,? Moneke said. ?I?m honored to be in the company with Vince Ng, he?s a legend in our program. I?ve heard stories on how hard he worked everyday. I couldn?t of asked for anything better than breaking it at home in my last couple of matches in Columbus. It?s a great feeling.?
Koniecko, a two-time All-American, has 126 career singles wins as a Buckeye and is now tied with former Buckeye Roger Smith (1983-86) for third on the all-time list. For the past four seasons, both Moneke and Koniecko have had at least 20 singles wins. . .
