I like the way Coach Myers is running his program at Ohio State, and growing up down the street from OSU I have always wanted to be a Buckeye coming from a town just outside the campus.
How did your university visit go?
University visits went well. I toured a couple campus? and had a couple over nights with some players from each college which were a lot of fun.
What are you best lacrosse attributes?
I feel that my best attributes would be shooting with both hands. And always looking for the extra pass and assisting teammates.
What would you like to work on over the next two seasons?
Over the next two seasons I really want to continue to get stronger, faster and build stronger stick skills.

HIES lacrosse star headed to Ohio State

Darius Bowling was honored as a U.S. Lacrosse All-American in both his junior and senior seasons. The Denver, Colo., native will enroll at Ohio State beginning in September.
Playing lacrosse in the South is nothing like doing so in the Midwest or the Northeast.
Down here football reigns supreme, followed by baseball and basketball. Lacrosse is the new kid in town, but that new kid is getting a lot of attention.
In the past 10 years, lacrosse has become quite popular with the area high schools. Holy Innocents? is a perfect example of this.
Last year the Golden Bears advanced to the third round of the Class A-AAAA tournament, and a large part of that success was due to then-senior Darius Bowling.
The defenseman was so good that he earned a scholarship from Ohio State, where he will enroll in September.
Ohio State?s recruitment of Bowling began long before he signed on the dotted line.
?I went to the University of Virginia lacrosse camp when I was a freshman and there happened to be one of the Ohio State coaches there,? he said. ?I played well and I was told to keep playing hard, and when I was a junior they?d have a spot for me.?
Bowling was initially interested in Notre Dame and Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Penn., but when he took an official visit to Ohio State in November of last year, he was sold.
?We rushed the field after Ohio State beat Iowa, sending them to the Rose Bowl,? he said. ?It was awesome.
?I already have my season tickets for this season.?
One of the reasons Ohio State became so attractive to Bowling was the large campus in Columbus.
There are more than 55,000 students at Ohio State, making it one of the largest campuses in the country.
?I was looking for a bigger school,? he said. ?Since I went [to Holy Innocents?], I wanted to try something different, and I knew I had to go up North to play lacrosse and Ohio State fit.?
