With 8:14 left, tCun was up 3-2 and got called for a face off violation when the Vulvarine played the puck with his hand as he was laying the ice right after the drop. 17 seconds into that power play, the Bucks tied it up as Thompson jammed in a rebound with 7:55 left. Before that, tCun was 2-for-2 on the PP and tOSU was 0-for-4.

Then Burnside had a breakaway and got hooked from behind with about 1:10 left. The Buckeyes showed great patience on that final power play, and Thompson was on the near post for a tip-in on a pass from Fontaine with 38.4 seconds left.

Minny got their revenge last night 6-1. I'm not disappointed in the loss, though I would like to have seen them be more competitive. The 7 points the last two weeks against tcun and Minny are huge. Last night's loss drops us only a spot to ninth in the pairwise, so still comfortably in the tournament with a 3 seed. We're in 3rd in the conference 5 points behind Sparty and 4 points behind Minny.

We finish out the month with two at Slappy Valley and two at home against #1 Sparty. If we can split the latter and do no worse than 3 points in Slappy Valley, it will be a very positive month given what our schedule was.
