Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
Here's hoping that Neil earns enough money/points to maintain his PGA playing card. Never forget that the US Open is designed to punish players that don't hit perfect shots. Anyway, we always talk about the college kids being drafted, and starting as rookies, which are few and far between, as the pro game and the college games are miles apart. Same with college/amateur golf. The pro game is many miles apart from the college game, as seen from the Open, many of the 'name' pros didn't make the cut. If you follow golf, you might have noted that several/many of the four-round scores are in the -20 to -25 (under par), but the Open was significantly lower (-7ish). Bit of a ramble, but for non-fanatic golfers, might not be a known fact.
I think he also has the challenge of seeing a lot of courses he has never played in competition. He will be more prepared for them next year.
Just sayin'; If he doesn't start playing better this year and he has to some extent.
He'll be back on the Korn Ferry Tour next year.Just sayin': His game must be picking up. After starting the season in making the cut in just 1 of 10 tournaments; he has now made the cut in 4 of his last 5 tournaments. In 2025 the US Open last place finisher got $41,785; which is the worst he can do. This Sunday he should get his biggest payday of the year so far.
