Things that boggled my mind....

* 2 carries for Samuel, 2 weeks after he had a similar low amount of touches and Urban talked about needing to bump that up. Balancing touches and runs between Samuel, Weber, and Barrett creates a dangerous offense....leaving 1 or 2 off of those does not.
* The decision to button up the offense in rain again....not taking chances deep. I don't care if on 1st and 10 we run a fly to McLaurin and overthrow him by 5 yards but you have to stretch those safeties out. We have WR's that can't create separation, I'm certainly not opposed at this point in giving Mack & Victor their opportunity.
* To me it felt like we kept trying to create a pass rush with the front 4....with them constantly attacking the edge, I would have liked to seen us disguise looks more.....drop Hubbard into coverage, fly Baker off the edge, etc.


At the end of the day I'm not surprised by our offensive short comings but I am very surprised at Schiano not pulling some strings.

Sucks that it was Ped state, but the team and the staff have issues to work out. I predicted, in the offseason, we'd go into the Michigan game with 2 or maybe 3 losses and was pretty thoroughly shouted down for it. The quick start, however, just temprorarily disguised the fact that this is a team of freshmen and sophomores and that Tim Beck is still a walking clusterfuck. Just wish they hadn't been exposed by the cult....anyone but those fucks.

Most of our WRs are converted running backs so run more screens, swing passes, JET SWEEPS, or bubble screens. These aren't receivers their running backs so treat then that way

This. That touch pass/sweep that forced LB's to move side to side and then subsequent dives, draws and play action opened up must have been a Herman copyright because it hasn't been seen here since he left. And we have as much talent if not more today.

Exactly... now those linebackers are going sideways and guess what? We faked that jet sweep and Weber now is running where that linebacker USE to be.

I dont like UFM train of thought that it's ran it's course... no screw that. There's time and place for everything.

I was under the impression Schiano was going to dial up some different blitz packages. Surprised we haven't seen that yet.
