I think defensive rebounding will be more important for the Bucks in this game than in most. If the Bucks limit Memphis' second chance shots, it will limit Oden's and Hunter's fouling "opportunities" and probably keep Memphis from scoring much over 65. It would also be nice if they officials let a little bit of contact on dribble penetration go, even though that will hurt Conley's offense because Memphis seems to love the dribble-drive.

Other than that, a 7-8 from behind the arc day for Jamar might be nice . . .:biggrin:

How well does Greg Oden play when he's pissed off? If Oden reads what you're about to read, we'll find out Saturday when Ohio State plays Memphis for the South Regional championship

With a handful of well-spoken if not well-chosen words, Memphis' Joey Dorsey blew up Oden on Friday, calling the 7-foot All-American "overrated" and saying if his meeting with Oden is a modern-day David vs. Goliath, that Dorsey is Goliath.

Hi, Memphis fan here.

I too was more worried about TAMU, and it really has nothing to to with accomplishments as it does style of play. For the style of offense that Memphis uses, a tough, physical defense that bumps players and throws off timing is the worst thing you can run into.

Last night was an atypical performance, I wouldn't read too much into it.

Damn, I hate that Dorsey actually said all that crap...then again, maybe Oden tries too hard and gets into trouble. I guess we'll see in about 18 hours.

I wouldn't be too quick to hope the refs let them get physical. I've seen both play a decent amount and Dorsey a stronger and faster than Oden...too bad he's nowhere near as polished.

Dude, no one is stronger than Oden. He tosses people aside with the flick of his wrist. Dorsey may be faster but Oden is stronger.

Hello Buckeyes.


I'm a senior at the UofM and one of the leaders of our student section for home games. Just thought I'd drop by with some insight.

I've watched you guys play quite a few games this season, and I have a good feeling that the team that shoots best will win.

I know that sounded a little too simple, so let me expand.

OSU and Memphis both are great defensive teams with big time shot blockers down low. Getting to the rim against these two teams is not an easy task. As has been the case in most of your games as well as most of ours, stretching the D will be the key to victory. If we're shooting it well and you guys aren't, then we win, and vice versa.

That said, I think we have more shooters (our two best, Hunt and Mack, don't start), but tOSU has better shooters (Lewis and Butler have been deadly from what I've seen.)

I'd call the inside game a draw, unless Oden or Dorsey gets in early foul trouble, or unless Greg shows Joey why you don't say what Joey said BEFORE a game.

I'll take Cal over Thad, and I'd certainly expect all of you to take Matta over JC.

The Tigers' depth and bench productivity have been HUGE for us all season, so you don't know who to stop exactly, it's what; the dribble drive. But we do that pretty well.

The X factor might just be Robert Dozier. He's still considered the best "pro" on this team, but he lacks intensity at times. He might just make the plays that make the difference.

All in all, I expect a close game throughout, with a UofM victory by 5-8 points at the end.

I think this has the potential to be our "break out" game, where we finally hit on all cylinders.

Oden is going to be angry, lets hope the refs don't call bs fouls on him all the time as they have been.

Time to blow by the Tigers and to the Final Four.
