OSU just couldn't hit their threes tonight and looked a bit exhausted. Regardless, I'm very proud of this team and what they accomplished, especially with such young players. Hopefully Oden will want that championship ring and come back for one more year. This team certainly has guts and although losing to Florida again hurts, they at least went out on the line and played them tough. It's just very difficult to win when you shoot below twenty percent from downtown compared to fifty percent for Florida.

How fucking good is Conley? That was an off night and he still finished with 20 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, and a couple of steals. Thank the Lord he's returning.

Having watched the game in the presence of an inebriated yet somehow sluttily attractive Florida "fan" and a friend who hates the Buckeyes (he's a graduate of Penn State and Michigan), let me share some thoughts.
1. Buckeyes lost the game because of the Gators' unconscious shooting and our inability to hit the 3. Almost Twilight-Zone-like outcome if you ask me.
2. I honestly believe that in a 10-game series, we'd finish about 5W 5L. My Wolverine/Nittany Lion buddy says maybe 6-4 favoring Florida. He may be right.
2A. As a referee of high school games himself, my buddy believes the game was extremely well officiated, and I agree. (He also says Terrelle Pryor is The Truth! He has reffed TP's games, and says absolutely nobody can guard him. He also says a young man named Jonathan Beasley on Herb Pope's Aliquippa team will make everyone forget Herb very soon. Thad, are you listening?)
3. Regardless of my opinions about likely outcomes, Florida wins and deserves many props. They are an outstanding college hoop team and their repeating as NC winners verifies that fact. Bravo, Gators.
4. Stupid, annoying drunken Gator fan made many insulting and obnoxious gestures during the game. She obviously is the graduate of no institution more prestigious than, say, a cosmetology school.
With that being said, I'd hit it harder than a hanging Cliff Lee curveball. And much more frequently, praise be to the Lord - as an Indians fan.
5. Great, great season. If Oden is back, we are obviously the favorite to win it all in 08. Otherwise we still have a very strong team. GO BUCKS!

And yes, Oden doing chin-ups on the rim should be a T. He's been lucky to have gotten away with it the entire tournament. The fact that he's athletic and doesn't look clumsy pulling his knees up has been his saving grace on his dunks.

But as for the game, they were on fire from the get go and stayed that way. They played great and we didnt. We are 0-3, but at least no other team can talk smack to the Bucks except Florida fans.
