Ohio State 75, Florida 84 (final - NC Game)

I honestly can't give THAT much credit to Florida. Yes they are good but am I stupid for saying we hurt ourselves more than they hurt us by not hitting our three's?

The reason we lost the game was because of our outside shooting. There's no doubt there. Florida just capitalized on it and won. You have to give them credit for that.

Nope, to me that was 100% the difference in the ballgame, after you factor in Oden personally cancelling their plans on getting him in foul trouble. Dude played his arse off, just didn't have the help tonight.

Congrats to Coach Matta and the Ohio State Bucks for the great season. They exceeded my expectations and those of many others. I really hope that our stellar freshmen come back, but if not, that's alrite, they've already raised the bar for the Ohio State basketball program. Our standard now is no longer just getting to the NCAAs or advancing to the sweet 16, it's winning championships. That's a huge accomplishment all by itself. Winning championships take time (just ask Roy Williams), but with Coach Matta leading the program, I have no doubt that we'll get there sooner or later.

Go Bucks!

It just wasn't meant to be. Florida was hitting all their shots down the stretch. Whenever Ohio State got it close they made an unbelievable shot.

You need certain things to occur in order to win sometimes. It's just like Texas vs USC. Texas had that one yard stop and it led to them coming back to win. Ohio State never got that one miss from Florida that could have fueled the comeback.

It's a tough loss, but I've calmed down. I was extremely angry. I don't think I've ever been that angry in my entire life.

Hats off to Florida.

To me, Florida was simply the better team. OSU was perfectly capable of playing with, and beating, them - had they hit any of their perimeter shots - but they were a more complete and efficient team.

Donovan was a class act, and other than one boob shake after Horford's dunk, they kept it under wraps until after the game. I appreciated that sportsmanship.

Yes, your conclusion is erroneous...

Florida hit daggers all game long to curb every comeback we attempted. They made plays, extra rebounds/passes, tough contested threes, offbalance shots/runners, etc.

Why be angry? I know I was yelling about a few fouls I feel weren't called, but why should you be angry? Florida was a better team, and Ohio State cemented itself as being the team second only to a back-to-back championship squad. As freshmen. And Ron Lewis . If these guys accomplish this much as freshmen, imagine what they can accomplish next year...

This was a great, great season for the Buckeyes. We advanced farther than I though we would. With all these freshmen, we won the Big Ten regular season title, the Big Ten tournament, and made it to the NCAA finals. Florida may have one of the greatest teams in the last two decades, and there is no shame in losing to them.

Here's me looking forward to getting back here again next year.

I wonder how many of the Florida players left skin on the floor. they hustled and got to every loose ball....

I take pride in knowing my Buckeyes made them leave skin on the floor. We made them play their hearts out. This wasn't like the UCLA game. We forced them to counter us. We always had that threat like we could come back. They did well stopping it.

Congrats on a great year, Buckeyes. You guys will be back if Oden and Conley return for sure. It was nice to see the refs finally giving Oden the room to operate to see what he could do but I thought they didn't do the same on our end, but I see things thru orange and blue glasses.
