disrespect shmisrespect. if you lose by almost 30 points, you should expect the media to be incredulous when analyzing the rematch.

"Analyzing"? I haven't seen ANY analysis of the matchup by mainstream media. Lots of hot air, but NO discussion of specific match-ups, X's and O's or strategies that I've seen.

Well, as far as CBS and ESPiN are concerned this game is over, it was played on the 23rd, Florida won by 26. They hyped and discussed the game then, why discuss it now? As it was said on ESPiN Radio this morning "It's a good thing 24 is on tonight or else the world would have to suffer though this game tonight." I would say 'Now I know how Fla felt last year' however, I knew this feeling back in 2002 against Miami.

Decent analysis of the game matchups.

Scouting the National Title Game
Jerry Meyer

Rivals.com asked national basketball and recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer to give us scouting reports on each of the team's in Monday night's national championship game.

Meyer knows of what he speaks.

He still is college basketball's all-time assists leader, and he has spent time coaching basketball at several levels - including as an assistant in the SEC.
We asked him how he would go about attacking and stopping the Gators and Buckeyes. We told him to go in-depth, that he couldn't be too technical. He even tailored them for each team to attack the other.
This is what he came up with after careful consideration and much study:

Cont'd ...

I agree. The link BB73 provided was the only one I've seen that discusses the match-ups, and it was from an OSU website. There's nothing from the national media that provides analysis--just a lot of commentary about the Dec. 23 game, the NC game in football, and Lewis's comments yesterday.

I don't know about all that. I think that most true Gators have a lot of respect for OSU's traditions. It is fun to dominate, and sucks when you are dominated. The Gators are smoking hot right now and we are damn proud of them. It's too bad that your team lost the last two times it met ours, and I think will lose again Monday night. That doesn't mean that we don't respect your team or your traditions. I think any college sports fan base in America would love to change places with the Gators right now. Even you guys.

It won't last forever. Just relax and bite the pillow if you have to.

Good luck Monday and GO GATORS!

Youcould not be more wrong. You see, we are The Ohio State University. You can have all the wins over us you want, but you will never be The Ohio State University. You may beat us, but you will never have a Hop-a-long Cassidy, an Eddie George or a Paul Brown. You will never feel the sense of awe and wonder when you stand in front of the stained glass windows at the 'Shoe. You will never know why an old rock song can drive 100,000 people into a frenzy.

You will never understand why it is so fitting that our Alma Mater "Carmen Ohio" was written on a train ride home to Columbus after an absolute drubbing in Ann Arbor.

You may win, and if you do you will be called national champions, but you will never be able to call yourselves Buckeyes. So no, not one of us would ever want to change places with you.

yeah...there is just a bunch of articles on how UF could beat the celtics and how the game shouldn't be played...all of the sudden we are playing the greatest team of all time and we have turned into a midmajor cinderella...nobody is giving osu a real chance of even coming close to UF

Yeah, it's kind of funny how Florida is played close by Purdue, Butler, and Oregon, yet we have absolutely no chance against them. :roll1: . I just hope our guys are hearing all of this and it is fueling the fire for a major upset tonight.
