Good Game guys.

Tennessee won't do much in the tournament, and I will enjoy them losing there.

How can you say that? We are missing one of our key players inside in Duke Crews, who we get back very soon. We have 2x more talent than last year and made it to the Sweet Sixteen then. This team has all of the keys to make it far if they put it together. Remember, we almost beat you guys last year on your court, and you managed to finish strong, and make it to the National Championship Game after you got Greg Oden back. UNC got beat on their homecourt today. Do they make it far? We have along ways to go before judging. We have to improve & will, but you can't say this is a Tennessee team that will lose early come March.

As said before, good game to you guys, and good luck in the future.

Go Vols!!

Stats below are through 1/15:

RPI (From Pomeroy)
Ohio State: 24 (down from 23 vs. Michigan State)
Tennessee: 3

Pomeroy (Strength/Power Rankings)
Ohio State: 27 (same vs. Michigan State)
Tennessee: 12

Pomeroy projects a Tennessee 75-67 victory and gives Ohio State a 21% chance of winning.

Ohio State RPI Strength of Schedule: 9

That was a heck of a prediction. Didn't get to watch, but listening to it and getting updates here was still exciting. Looks to be a blown opportunity to get a big win on the road.

Tennessee will be a monster come tournament time. Their depth, and backcourt will guide them through the tourney.

It is such a difficult match-up to face a team that pushes the ball every chance they get, and substitutes fresh legs that look to push the ball even harder.

The difference in the game to me, was Tennessee's Brian Williams. He gave them great minutes, and neutralized our big guys when he was in the game. It seemed like every time we were on a run, Pearl countered with Williams, and it shifted the momentum back in their favor. His offensive rebounding and put-backs were momentum breakers throughout the game.

When Williams was out(especially in the 2nd half), Kosta and Othello really dominated, and the offense was run through them. Enter Williams, and Tennessee dominates the backboard, and gets 2nd, 3rd shot opportutnities.

There's a reason Tennessee is #6 in the country and we are unranked. We can play anybody on any given night, but Tennessee is a very good team
Tennessee blows, I don't give a rats ass about them or how good they are. I only care that we win.

I respectfully disagree about making the NCAA tournament. This team is good but has no depth. Jamar Butler looked awfully tired toward the end of the game. I think the final box score had no bench players with any points. Although you can compete with 5 good players, you really need more than that to sustain a lead to victory.

My 9 year old daughter gets cute frilly ribbons for doing well and trying hard at horse shows. Whats say we win one of these fucking games sometime in 2008 and leave the fucking moral victory ribbons for someone fucking else.

I'm pretty certain the entire team would vote this post for a GPA.

I had hopes this would make for a great break-out game. Who knows, it still might have that effect. But - just win baby!

For once, KK started playing like the player I had anticipated seeing since the beginning of the season. Well, at least at the beginning of the second half. I don't know why we got away from him. I think his endurance might be pretty low because I don't think Matta would have taken him out when he was playing so well in the second half. I wish he would play closer to the basket more often.

Hunter played like a man possessed. Props to him. Probably his best game as a Buckeye both offensively and defensively.

The same props go to Turner.

I just don't get it with Lighty. I didn't think he played particularly well again today and thought he would be a leader this year.

Butler did not have a very good game but unlike others I think the season is starting to wear on him. He has played an awful a lot of minutes and even though he lost 10 pounds his legs have to get tired sometime. It was nice to see them take it to the basket, or try to, at least a couple times today. Also, he did have some nice pick and rolls although they were limited.

Felt bad for Diebler. Thought at least one of those threes were going to drop it has the game was winding down.

Did anyone else notice that Matta walked off the court rather quickly? I don't think even acknowledged Pearl. Perhaps he was pissed at the way the Tennessee players acted near the end of the game and Pearl just let them go. I don't know maybe it was my imagination.

I can see Tennessee probably winning two games in the tournament but their lack of height in the frontline will catch up to them pretty quickly.
I was proud of the Buckeyes and thought they gave one hell of an effort. We have some winnable games coming up so hopefully this game will give us a boost.
