Ohio State 69 Tennessee 74 (FINAL)

We played tough with a very good team despite not shooting the ball well. Would have been really great to have a timeout so we could get under control but great effort.

In other news, NC lost. I think ESPN is going to have a giant collective heart attack.

turning point in game was not taking a much needed time-out while trapped, turning it over, giving up a 3

Hopefully we can get some W's after this difficult road trip and get some tournament resume builders.

you need to wait until the game is over before you give your death speech

Perhaps a bit pre-mature.....our guys definately played this one till' the last second.

It doesn't change the turning the point in the game, and needing some solid W's for our resume come March

Right now we're on the outside looking in.

That game should have been extended by several possessions had we attacked the rim rather than forcing three's in the final minute. Diebs first 3 was a great look that didn't fall but the others were not needed trailing by only 3 with so much time left. I feel Butler needs to step up there and attack the basket; either getting to the hoop or drawing defenders and giving it up to Hunter or KK.

No moral victory here.

Well, they got back into it. This is three times that they have lost momentum early in the second half, fallen far behind and then roared back with too little, too late. But this was the best team they have faced.

I think they are getting better and played these guys much closer than the computers or Vegas thought they would.

There's no such thing as a moral victory, but I think they will have learned something and I am proud of them.:oh:

I hate seeing 3's not drop for Ohio State. Diebler going 0-6 hurts. Turnovers hurt.

Koufos played a great second half. Hunter and Turner were tough down low. The team rallied from behind well.

Overall, solid effort put out by young team. Just need to cut down on the turnovers, and hit the 3's. Fun game to watch.

Id like to file a missing persons report:

HAS ANYONE SEEN OUR BENCH?? come one dudes. If Twig just hits one of his usual 3's and Deebs hits one of his 6 shots, were in OT baby. So frustrating to see all of these close games that end up like this. Maybe were just unlucky, but i beleive that you create your own luck. Our team tried hard, but just fell short. were not used to losing around here, bbut theyll just get better. Bench needs to step it up FO SHOOOOOO!

Exactly Steve, young teams do things like have 20 to's, no scoring from the bench and panic at times. But our team played like Buckeyes today and I too, am proud of them.

At home to a six or seven loss Maryland team. If there wasn't snow in Chapel Hill, there is now. Feel a bit sorry for those guys, having lived there last year. They take their basketball like we take our football. There'll be guys out on the ledge about now.

If we had hit just 25% on our threes, this would have been a win.
